Sad news...
I just heard some very sad news today. Yesterday, the woman who I talked about in my journal on May 25th, passed away.All I can say is that they need to get that guy for murder- and I am not one for the death penalty, but sometimes there are people who really should be filled with a lethal dose of drugs. And, the judges who let this man out of jail when he had a criminal record more the 26 pages long- they should be punished as well. It took an innocent and beautiful life to be cut short before they did anything about that guy?? C'mon now! They didn't protect anyone!!! Grrr... May she rest in peace, and I am praying to the Lord that he watch over her family during this tragic time. May he also watch over her faithful dog, who ran to get help.

Well we all know the legal system is screwed up. *wink* but I am with you. THAT guy deserves to die.
I am sorry to hear the sad news...
That makes me so sad. I was hoping she would pull through to see justice served to that jerk. She is in a better place now-in no more pain. I, too pray that her family will be comforted by God during this horrible time.
I think it was about 10 years ago that I was active in a professional organization that met in Chicago once a month. One of our group - a woman of a certain age -- was mugged and died from a head injury. The only thing on her was our group\'s newsletter. Fortunately, one of our members was a Chicago cop. Still, it has always stayed with me. It was a woman I had sat with at dinner a couple of times, not a friend in the truest sense of the word, but still -- I liked her. It shook me up and the feeling fades but returns. I am so sorry that this happened in your neighborhood. It is a scary world.
