Sad News
I was setting in the local coffee shop this morning and I was told that the dad, of the young 18 year old boy, that I baptized last Tues., was found dead in his bed this morning.
He had been in ill health for some time and he was at his son's baptismal service at 6 pm last Tuesday. He shook my hand after the service and pictures were taken. I guess he had been addicted to prescription medications for some time, he had kidney failure and had never really taken good care of himself.
This was indeed a shock. I called his ex-wife and she and her fiance were getting ready to go to her ex-mother-in-laws home and help her with the arrangements. She is a 82 year old widow and even though her son had been divorced for many years, she and her daughter -in-law had a wonderful relationship even after the divorce.
