Sad day

Well I am having a very sad day this morning we took our son Greg to St Louis to go off to boot camp in SC for the Army National Guard.  I am missing my boy already, I know we will see him for graduation in Aug but he wont be done until Nov and that is if he doesn't decide to go active after training.  This is the very hard parent of parenting children leaving the nest 2 boys in one year wow.   On the bright side we may find out the sex of the first grand baby today if the baby is in the right position.  My son Matt wants a litttle girl real bad so I hope for him, my daughter in law says as long as there are 10 toes and fingers and healthy it doesn't matter. My 6 mos check went well it was only with the NUT and it was a class of sorts to talk about any trouble with foods.  I haven't heard anything about my blood work as of yet hope it is all good.  I don't get to see the dr again unless I am having a problem other wise I go again at 1 year to a NUT class and weigh in.

I am so surprised that your doctor is letting you go so long between visits. I had my surgery in October and I am still having to go every three months. I go again next week for my eight month check up. Isn\'t it great that we are dong so well. Who would have thought that we could feel this good so quickly.

Sorry to hear about losing your son to bootcamp. I don\'t have children but I can only imagine how hard it is for you to be losing them and to realize that you no longer have any control over them. I raised my sister for a while and it was a sad day when I realized that she was a young woman now and what I taught her was what she was going to use to make it in the world. Kind of a scary thought. But I couldn\'t be prouder of her and you will be just as proud of your son.

Congrats on the new grandbaby. I hope they are able to tell the sex but I am sure that your son will be happy whatever the sex. Once it is born and he holds this precious life in his arms for the first time, he will be hooked regardless of whether it is a girl or a boy!!

Got to run for now. Take care and have a great afternoon.
