Sad again.....
It's just amazing to me how quickly grief can sneak up on us. I had a nice weekend with my Sister and then I got home to my empty house and it just hits me again. Thank goodness for my dogs. I at least get to come home to them and they love me unconditionally but of course it's not the same. I was with my husband for 28 years through good and bad but I miss him ssssssooooo much my heart aches.
just having a bad night.

Of course.....coming home to an empty home...even with loving doggies....must be SO hard....SO sad. 28 years is a long time to share your life with someone, and of course not nearly long enough! I know what it\'s like to lose a child....I can\'t imagine what it is to lose a spouse. I would imagine the two can be very different, because the relationships were very different. A spouse is a best friend, a confidant, a co-creator of the life you share, a helper, a lover, and an everyday....and for me nearly 24/7 because my husband and I work together...togetherness, intimate relationship unlike any other.
I\'m so sorry for the loss of your dear husband.
I send love energy and many prayers for peace and comfort and continued healing WITH him beside you as he is today. On that road to peace, comfort and healing, many, many, many tears are shed..... Thank you for sharing yours with us....
Loving care to enfold your grieving heart. Grief is a strange bedfellow and always there I have found. You have had two major heart hits in such a short span of time that it has to be so very deeply felt on all levels...
I\'m grateful you are writing and send you lots of love and healing (((hugs)))
One day and moment at a time and some are far harder than others and returning to the reality of \"what is\" still takes my breath away at times... It just doesn\'t seem possible that this IS my life and I have a sense that may be how you are feeling as well...
I\'m with you... Hand in Hand and Heart to Heart we go...
Much love,
XO Joanie
I can relate so well with what you write here. You can be going along feeling pretty good, usually attending some event with family or having a vacation or something, and, when you get home and it is quiet and you are alone it is like a huge crash and you are right back in the deep grief again. For several years after losing Greg that happened to me all the time. It was literally a roller coaster of ups and downs. Just being in that state of up and down was stressful for me. Greg has been gone almost 41/2 years and things for me are a little bit smoother. I don\'t have the crashing downs that I used to have. Now, though, grief can creep up on me so quickly and quietly and, even though the sadness and pain don\'t last quite a long as they used to, it is emotional and intense. I\'m glad you have your dogs to comfort you. I\'m so sorry for the losses you have had over such a short period of time. Thank you for being here with us and for sharing your heart with us. Love, Anne
an empty house can be a sad house.... glad you have fur balls to help... love ya!!
Every now and then, I just know \"IT\'s happening again!\" I don\'t think anyone else really understands, and as you know, it\'s not something we can explain. Just know that we know, and we are all together, even when we\'re alone in a house, we still in a strange way, are walking this road together. Lots of hugs x x x
I can feel your broken heart dear friend & I\'m very sorry. You are so right that grief can sneak up & with no warning. I\'m wrapping my arms around you & holding you tightly. Love, Vicki
I am grateful for my dogs too. They can make me smile no matter what and bring such comfort to my heart. Yayyyy for the fur babies!
It is hard to come home to an \"empty house\" other than our fur babies of course
