sad day

Last night we went to the wake and today a funeral.  He was a friend, husband, and dad to 3 adorable children.  It broke my heart to see their children break down at the service.  The two older boys - so polite, good looking, and so sweet.  Their youngest is 9.  My favorite student when she was in my preschool class.  She was always taking care of the ones who were struggling in such a sweet, kind manor.  Oh.....it breaks my heart.  He died suddenly - massive heart attack - his son found him on their kitchen floor.  Reminds you how precious life is.   Today is another day to be sad but also glad.  Tonight is the graduation ceremony for my son's class, which he will be missing out on.  On the other hand, he isn't using drugs and, although, he can be a real stinker at times, he's clean and for that we are grateful.  Life is so precious.....we must not take it for granted.  I kissed my husband and told him how much I love him.  As much as he can get on my nerves, regarding how he handles our son sometimes....he's a wonderful, loving man.

I\'m glad your son isn\'t using again either. I\'m sorry I\'ve been sporadic in responding, things going on at home. Too much to write about. I\'m handling it. It\'s sad your son isn\'t graduating too but is he pursuing ged? I\'ve kept up on your journals and things seem to be a bit rocky at times then they straighten themselves out. He is 18 now huh? Will he move out? Does he have a job? I don\'t remember reading if he has a job or not. Good night my frined.

Such a sad event to attend and it does make you question your own mortality. You are kind and loving person and your family is so lucky to have you! Sorry about graduation, hopes and dreams sometimes have to change but at least T. is clean! He will get through this because he has you. Thinking about you and hope you are well.
