Running outside vs. treadmill

Well, I decided to try to actually jog outside today.. I did a 5k 'wog'. haha.  I walked mostly, at a very brisk pace, but also jogged for probably a quarter of it..  Not great.. well, great for me anyway.. but better than nothing at all, right?  It's much harder to run outside than on a treadmill in a controlled environment, but I am definitely feeling the difference in my body!  My hips, my thighs, 2 hours after my 'wog' I can absolutely feel it!  So I'm gonna incorporate it more.. and I felt really strong and proud of myself, even if I could only go a couple of hundred feet at a time.

Yay me!

Way to go! I agree, it\'s much harder outside than on the treadmill. That\'s why I\'m pretty happy that it\'s still cold out and there\'s still snow on my path. I\'ll keep up my wogging on the treadmill for now and hope I build up some stamina for the outdoor wogging this spring.

What a great start...we all have to start, don\'t we. I wish the sidewalks, paths here were clear. After the storm we had a week and a half ago (22-24\") it might be awhile to be outside.
