Rough Week
This has indeed been a very tough week. I made numerous hospital visits, nursing home visits, done a piano concert and as most of you know, my niece's stbx stabbed 2 people and admitted to officers that he was the one who killed his dad, last June. This has shaken all of our family very hard.
I haven't been on DS much this week but, when I was, I commented on a few posts where I thought I could help with some advice and encouragement.
It seems it's possible a good friend of mine, here in DS may leave. I also have another friend who is going through a very tough time as well. I don't know, I guess I am getting discouraged about being here. So many friends have left, many have ignored my messages so, I told them if they didn't respond, I would delete them. They did not respond so, I did as I said I would.
I have posted messages every week, on the Christian Church Ministry 24/7 Group now for almost a year and a half. Evidently, few people read them so, I wonder if it is worth my time and effort to post them. I read a lot of different posts here on the groups that I am a member of and I am one of the oldest guys on these sites. It seems there are few who care about what a 66 year old man has to say but, that's ok.
I have lived it, been around it, done it, and survived it. I am a victor not a victim. I have no medals pinned to my chest but, I have the battle scars as my trophies. As far as I know, I have always tried to help anyone who has asked me for advice or, who has asked me to pray for their loved one. I have been open with my past and there are a few of you here, that I have also opened my heart to. You know who you are. The next couple of weeks are going to be very busy for me getting ready to do 2 weddings along with another concert and baptisms to do. I will be scarce here I guess but, I will check messages for those that may need me. I guess the issues of this stabbing, etc., has just kind of taken it's toll on everyone in my family, especially my twin brother and his immediate family. Thank you, to those who have made their thoughts and prayers for all of us known.
