Rough night

Last night was tough, we are trying to get thank you letters out to all 300 people that attended our sons funeral, and an additional 100 to those who sent cards and donations from all over! It was alot of work. At ten we watched the news, there were new developments in my sons case, the man that supplied the kids the alcohol, which led to Jarretts death had turned himself in after running from the scene of the accident. Apparently he was currently on probation and had several outstanding warrants. My husband was so worked up and very upset, he was up all night. Of course all his walking around, and phone calls kept waking me up too, so were both exhausted and my little one is wide awake and wanting attention. I think were both stressing about our first court date. How can I look at the man who killed my son without wanting to tear his eyes out of thier sockets!?

I can\'t even imagine how difficult it must be going through such a hard time. This is so new and raw for both of you and your little guy is probably lost without his big brother. I can understand that you want to hurt back but I hope at some time and some point in the future you will be able to forgive. Not for the jerks that hurt your son, but for yourselves. I understand that this point is probably not even \"on the map\" right now.

I had the same feelings towards the doctor that didn\'t diagnose my son\'s ulcer. I called there and would only speak to the nurse, when I\'d speak to her, I was not \'kind\'. Nor was the doctor in the background saying, \"There\'s nothing on his chart about stomach complaints\" while I KNEW he had seen him about his stomach! I wanted to hurl a brick through his window or worse. Actually they moved the practice. I wonder if it had something to do with Jim. There were no signs of their moving prior. His funeral home was right across the street from the dr.\'s and everybody KNEW.

My ex did not want to sue for malpractice (wrongful death, actually) and I was discouraged by a lawyer friend. I eventually had to let it go. But I live elsewhere, couldn\'t stand to be back in that area again.

It\'s not so easy to forgive when you are lied to! AND know that the dr. \'doctored\' his records. Which they do.

Oh Soosanah! Your story breaks my heart, someone who you should have been able to trust, to take your son away by pure negligence! I share your pain. I know I\'ve said it before but I admire the strength of all the women , you included must have to endure such pain for so many years. My son only died 3 weeks ago and it has been unbearable. I was cleaning today and opened Jarretts lunch box, I hadent cleaned it out because we got on the road right after I pulled him out of school, his half eaten lunch was still inside. I broke down. I can\'t bare the coming days, months, years without him.
