Rough Day
As the day went on, more things did go wrong ... making things even worse. I do realize it's just another day to get through (and I will) just that all is reminding me just how sad and lonely I have been (and will continue to be until I finally move forward... if I ever can)

Sorry to hear another rough day. Hoping you can find and activity to take away the edge, like exercise, reading, other social events. It does help to have others to talk with so if you can find a social group to be a part of, whether a church group, activity group, club or organization that may help with the time.
Yes! Like the person above me just said, you definitely need an outlet for when days go sour. For me, it has been going for a run, or playing my guitar or writing or doing any one of many things that manifest personal satisfaction.
The important thing I found was to realize that it's what life is......a series of ups and downs so we have to take the bad with the good. When I found myself alone and brooding over how much my life sucked then I just seemed to attract more of the same so I change my life by changing my mind about my life.. Try to avoid the temptation to perceive yourself unfairly treated. If you can do that then your life will improve because mine did!
God Bless
Wow. Bob kind of nailed it. Not much to say after that. Lol. Good advice. I have been doing the same and it really is all about perception. We have to find some contentedness in every day life too. Even the mundane stuff has its place. The trick is to balance it With what? Any fun you can create even in this down time. Go for a walk in a new place. Or even find a nice spot to read a good book. Or follow Bob and learn guitar! Ok, maybe that’s a little optimistic. You know what I mean. Different. Have you see Wes Andersons new movie? Stop motion. Very clever. However Fantastic Mr Fox is my fav.
Maybe that convent? At least you won’t be alone. But remember: request the south of France. Actually any Mediterranean country would work. How about hoping on a bus or train and doing an overnight in a city with some history?we love you. Nice birthday. (I won’t say happy because I don’t want to bum you out. )
Thank you all ... as the day went on, things did get better. Though I made no true plans to celebrate (would much rather do that once I can turn this page in my life and hopefully begin another chapter...) I did get a chance to catch up and yack forever to an old childhood friend (Til all was said and done, I did tell her we served as free therapy and excellent entertainment for each other. Just imagine 2 of us so chatty!!! LOL) And I did inform stbx I wasn't cooking ahead of time. (Said I was taking the day off! lol) I did have a craving for Chinese food (Don't have it too often) so he did bring home take out. It was yummy.
Also quite a few of you had some very helpful thoughts and feedback to remind me ( and give me that gentle, proverbial headslap) to keep busy, regain focus, and yes... proceed with all the plans and things still to be done before this divorce can or will be final. (I do tend to get overwhelmed with this because, like everything else, I will be responsible for the majority of it....since stbx is kinda like dead weight digging his heels in . It is hard enough to keep on plugging, let alone with a stubborn old bull hanging round my neck. Makes me tired just thinking about it. )
@ finally awake... don't laugh... I may wind up at that convent yet! (Got a good head start. lol)
Thanks again to all of you... with love and hugs. :)
