Rough day
The stress has been really bad. Buddy was supposed to go to his forever home today. What a nightmare! I had a really bad panic attack, worst one in a long time. Had to take a Xanax. I am so glad my Aunt Carol was with me as I could not have gone through today without her support!
Left here at 6am to drive to Baltimore MD, about 80 miles. (actually went to Towson, just north of Baltimore.) Buddy was upset, understandably so. He knew something was up. Threw up in crate in back of my car. He snapped at the lady who met me. She gave him a cookie, he jumped in the back of her Chevy Blazer. She tied him up so he couldn't move around, or climb over the seat. But I guess she tied him so tight, he could not move well. He must have freaked and gotten himself all twisted. By the time she got to Strasburg Virginia, he was a raving lunatic, ready to bite the two women. They could not get him out the back of the car. she had to turn around and bring him back to Baltimore and I had to drive all the way back down. 7+ hrs in the car today, almost $100 between gas and tolls. Thank God I picked up David and he came back with me. Poor Buddy. OMG, I am so upset and crying! I had to take a Xanax for the first time in well over a year! buddy was SO terrified and all tangled in the leash and even snapped at David. His eyes were all wild. David talked to him and rubbed his face and Buddy calmed down and it took David a good 10 minutes to get him all untangled.
I bawled! Poor little baby! I never want to put him through that again! So now, Plan B is 1 way, all the way, paid transport. Put him in a crate and get a sedative from Vet. No changing cars. No tie downs. Goes all the way through to Georgia.

Aww. That\'s so sad. Poor Buddy. I feel bad for him. And what a stressful day for you! You deserve wonderful things to happen to you, especially with the way you help animals. I send love and blessings and hugs to you, dear friend!
How terrible! I hope that lady does not get to transport again for any dog! Hope the new transport method works out better. Keep us updated on Buddy\'s progress.
