Root canal
Tuesday I had a dentist appointment to try and get a cavity filled. To find out I need a root canal. I took my mom with me because I had a feeling it would be way too expensive. I don't have dental insurance the cost is going to be 2000. My mom chipped in 800 I paid 145 and we had to apply for care credit and mom got approved for 1000. So not only will I be making payments to my mom I will be making payments to the card. But at least I can get it done. If it was a back tooth that no one could see I would just have it pulled. But its one of the front tooth. Its going to take 4 hours and they will sedate me because when I have dental work I am always hard to numb and if i do get numb then they work for 30 minutes then they have to stop because I start to come un numb again. WIth the RA I have it has gone into my jaw so its so hard for me to keep my mouth open far or long anyway. So they think this will be the best option. I am sure for the sedation I won't be allowed pain meds after midnight which will suck and I won't be able to drink any water either. I have something called sjorgrens sydrome which is dryness and I suffer from dry mouth like crazy so I am always drinking something so that will drive me crazy. I am up all night and sleep during the day so this will be hard for me. Maybe I will try to stay up for over 24 hours so I can sleep during the night. We will see how well that works. I guess they found an infection inthe tooth as well and I didn't know that and i started the Cimzia on Monday night. For those of you who don't know when you have an infection your not suppost to take RA meds because it lowers your immune system and makes it impossible to fight infections. I am hoping since its the first dose that it won't make too much of a difference. The shot is twice a month the next one I won't need til after the root canal so hopefully it won't through me off schedule. We will see I guess.
Yesteday when I went to safeway to get my meds filled it was the first time I used an electric wheel chair. I really felt disabled but monday I did so much running around I left at 11:30 and come home after 5:00pm I couldn't hardly walk. It did make things alot easier but it made me feel really weird being 25 using one of those. I am also 5'3 so I am pretty short so being in one of those made me feel really short lol. I have problems with my knees so the getting up and sitting down part is difficult for me so if I am not with someone I can't use the wheel chair. but my mom was with me so she was able to grab the stuff I needed. SHe kept laughing at me though because the ones at safeway go pretty fast so I kept stopping and she was having fun watching me drive one of those things hehe.
My mom is pretty awesome she saved most of her tax return incase of emergency and she didn't even blink an eye when it came to the cost of the root canal she happly lent it to me. She won't hold it over my head like some people do when one lends them money. She is a good support system for me. If I am having a bad day and in the verge of tears she will find someway of making me laugh which is pretty awesome. Somedays we butt heads but thats to be expected in any type of relationship and living situation. But for the most part we get along we don't ever fight.
Plus our cats keep us going to. I have 3 cats my mom has 3 cats so that makes 6 cats. One of my cats her name is Millie she was abused as a kitten she is so shy and timid except around me infact if i don't pet her when she wants it she will abuse me lol. She refuses to get along with my mom cats. My mom has a cat name Bella who refuses to get along with any of my cats. My mom has a male cat by the name of Kumal and he refuses to get along with my male cat Copper. The youngest one I have her name is Zelda she tries to get along with everyone just to be hissed and batted at by Bella. My moms youngest his name is Bramua and his favorite is my youngest Zelda so they are the best of friends. But Brauma can't stand Copper. Poor Copper none of my moms cats like him. He usually sticks around with Millie. So the six cats we have their names are
Millie, Zelda, Copper those are my three My moms three is Bella, Kumal, and Brauma.
We can't forget the guinea pig who name is Link (yes I am a video game freak who loves the legend of Zelda :D) Then we also have a bearded dragon by the name of Zeus. If it wasn't for my mom and my animals and the friends I have here at DS I would be lost.
