Roller coaster week

Ugh what a week. I started my stims Wednesday last week and had my first scan on Wednesday this week.....it showed that the stims weren't working...which is devastating! So my doc upped my dose with the hope things will move along a bit better...I had another scan today and things are finally moving in the right direction....but we are cutting it fine for IVF This year...see...ages ago, we booked a holiday to Malaysia to celebrate the end of my husbands exams....not once did it cross my mind that it would interfere with IVF!
Pugh anyway, we leave Thursday week...as in 12days time.....and in that space of time, my follicles have to grow to size and then be fertilised and then be transferred back into me. Whoa...that is alot needing to happen in a very short space of time! So at the moment, it looks like I will be having egg retrieval next Saturday...7 days from now and transfer on Thursday after that....we then fly to Malaysia that night! Not ideal but at least it will be my first cycle over and done with and I will know what to expect for next time...that may not sound so positive but i am trying to be realistic about all this....there is a 40% of it actually working so I need to come up with a back up plan if it fails.
 
anyway, mu husband is away today doing his first exam...I know he will be fine as he is super smart...can't wait to see him tonight and celebrate the first exam being over with a date night at the movies.
