I can only give you a sense of chordal structure and not melodic structure. I also try to teach people to \"hear\" music so that they can then play it on a guitar. However, again, this is only chordal structure (the use of chords and their relationships with one another). This kind of music is beyond me. However, I did learn a few classical pieces from sheet music and did fairly well in the proces! It was slow and slower to learn but it was rewarding.
