Rivers and Tides
Rivers and Tides: have you seen it? A gorgeous, heartbreaking, thoughtful documentary about the work of sculptor Andy Goldsworthy. I thought of it yesterday after we put Andy's ashes in a triangular tidepool out on an island in Casco Bay. I imagined the tide rising and washing this pool, and carrying Andy on an amazing journey to the southern tip of England and down to Spain and northwest Africa and back to the shores of Jamaica. We are all in flow on this little blue dot of a planet. Some are going a little more 'freestyle' than others.
Here's a photo of the tidepool, with the ashes, and with Caitlin and Byron's feet. I'm glad we had such a meaningful day. So much love.

Tide pools where all life started, a fitting place for Andy\'s dna. His brother carries on the line, hopefully you will see issue of this. Mil blessings, Abby
What a wonderful way to honor Andy. I too can imagine him traveling the world.
Lisa was going to scatter some of my ashes on the East Coast and the West Coast so I could visit places i had been and those I had yet to visit.
I have changed my mind. I want some to be buried with her, some near Andrew\'s home and if there are any left, then into the oceans.
Hugs, Marlene
\"Freestyle\"....I like that!
So very \"ANDY\", his mothers son for sure. Your depth of understanding the flow, and embracing the \"now\" is pure inspiration dear Sarah.
I have yet to let go of Christopher\'s ashes...it is complicated.
Much love, Rebecca
Sarah, what u did is beautiful and heart felt. I am with u every step of the way.
Freestylin\' all the way.... yes, so very Andy and just beautiful in every way dear Sarah. Love seeing Caitlin\'s and Byron\'s feet too... that grounding in energy that our feet represent and the first part of our body that touches the earth each day.
So much LOVE...
A wonderful moment. I connect so much to it all. Goldsworthy. The tidepools. The ashes moving around the world and, who knows, beyond. Freestyling. I thought about you and Andy all day yesterday. Love is everything.
What a beautiful thought, Andy being carried to all those wonderful places.
Just wonderful Andy would just love it as his mom would.
I am so glad you had such a day...holy.....

Andy\'s crane is back in it\'s lovely hanging pottery cylinder overlooking the field.....

I Agree that you had a beautiful idea with this new disbursal of ashes--I\'m glad it was a peaceful day was filled with love. And I\'m thoroughly convinced Andy is quite a traveler!
Our day \"by the calendar\" is tomorrow, but another 365 days passed as of today, due to leap year. The sky is so blue today, just like that fateful day 3 yrs ago. We are all here together, putting my daughter\'s brand new raised bed organic garden together. It is something Mike would have wanted to be right in the middle of-- so it felt like a positive way to be remembering him.
As always, Much love, Cherie
So beautiful and I know Andy will travel to all the places this world can carry him. I find comfort in knowing my daughter too is traveling the Mediterranean, Caribbean, Pacific and all the oceans to all the countries she visited and those she had yet to get to. Now our children travel it together. We are truly one great blue dot! XO Amber
Gentle hugs....love to Andy
