River Dreams

Is the Breach of Contract yaddah in the River Region finding its closure? There are legal threads of it still wipping in the wind, but in my strictly personal dialect, the current closure would be, "You got robbed. Suck it up." I'll let the lawyer handle the translation to legalese. It's what I'm paying her for.

The River Dreams feel like the most important article lost in the robbery. Can/should they be rescued?

Yea, it's a thorny chew. . .

Chewing gently. . . Spitting out the thorns of resentment as I chew. . .

Sending you a cup of soothing and refreshing mint tea to help you swallow and wash away the bitterness of left by those thorns. That a lot to swallow and would definitely leave a sour taste in my mouth.

Big hugs & lots of support Arfie!

Chocolate mint is even my favorite remedy for foul tastes in my mouth. I prefer chewing a fresh sprig with enough fiber to do double duty as a tooth scrubber, but. . . Sigh. . . Don't happen to have any growing here, so a cup of generic mint tea it is.

Well I have a ton of rabid wild mint taking over the flower beds at my new house. I’ve never seen mint consume an entire 30+ swatch of flowers but either the previous tenant loved mint or it’s gone completely rabid. No chocolate mint tho, sorry, but...., I know where my cousin has some stashed in her window garden. Feel up for a pirate adventure? We could go pillage & plunder her chocolates mint supplies.

Big hugs and tons of support.

I'm not a total mint snob. I feel like a wealthy woman when I discover a patch of wild mint. I bet yours is feral, meaning that somebody planted it on purpose and it escaped domesticity. Mints and I share that feral drive for independence.

Okay, okay. . . Maybe I *am* a total mint snob. . . I bet I could even con your cousin out of a sprig or 20. You distract, I'll pinch.

Good to go, I know where she hides the spare keys. (Wink, wink)

I actually like my “feral” mint, but their poor leaves are in need of some pest control attention. We live right up close to the river so calling it “bug central” is like calling Everest an anthill.

You wouldn’t happen to have any tips for nurturing my mint garden back to health, would you? Except for roses and wild garlic, I’m all “black thumbs” and so my garden abilities are..., nonexistent. Generally, if I leave a garden completely alone, it lives. Otherwise I’m the “Black Death” of plants, lol.

Did somebody dare to push my grow buttons? Ah. . . Foolish human. . .

Do I remember that you are in the sub-arctic zone? I am guessing you are at the end of season there. If you want a healthy bloom in Spring, clean it up and let it be. Mint does get raggedy at season's end. Most life forms do.

If you want to fool mother nature and grow a winter stash, I would start with pulling a clump of roots out of the pot, rinse 'em up and stick them in a glass of water. Light is not terribly important for this step. The roots are where the action is. Keep the water fresh. If they look happy in a few days, go shopping for grow lights, potting soil and pots. I've gotten decent results from the cheap and easy options you can find just about anywhere. If you want to get fancy, I got rocking results from this kit:

Cool beans & sweet. I’ll check it out..., sorry for pushing the button. My memory storage facility is still on lock down so no input in or out for..., actually quite a while now. I’m off to power buff a piece of wood some more. It’s my new therapy technique. Resurface a poorly cut & repurposed hunk so it can become the shelf it was intended to be. It keeps my OCD happy so I can be more productive in other areas.

Hugs & thanks for tips, two black thumbs up. (One day I may get them to a potential forest green color..., unlikely but hoping)

Triple hugs while you sort this out arfie~
