Ripping off the bandaid

I took a break and I think I can finish this one entry now. So, Theresa had no insurance and honestly I wasn't the only one with my head in the sand because there was no money for the funeral. It took a week to come up with it,a week that was a blur. During this time my bank account got garnished through a judgment for a former landlords, which of course was my fault.....I had left him in the home that was in my name during one of my escape attempts. He destroyed things and didn't pay bills, then moved back in with me. Of course I was left holding the bag again, guess I shouldn't have thought of his housing situation when I left to be fair, but that's water under the bridge at this point. As a result I had to borrow money from my stepfather to even buy clothes for myself and the kids to wear to the viewing and funeral. My job was incredibly supportive, as were all my co-workers. During this time he was relatively quiet and he even held me as i cried myself to sleep at night. At the viewing there were many friends we hadn't seen in years, and as the family we were greeting and hugging and talking to people the entire time. To be honest, I couldn't have sat still if I wanted to because I was trying to stay busy to hold it together. He sat off to himself the whole time, but honestly I never noticed.

The service was right up the street from my house so that was home base for everyone before. They came to get ready that morning(my family). Then they all left to head up to the service while I waited for him to get ready, as he was driving the kids and I. I was anxiously waiting for him, unable to understand what was taking so long when he finally comes down and proceeds to start screaming at me that I am driving myself and the kids. He is fed yup that I am treating him so badly, I ignored him the previous night and talked to everyone else, they all ignored him as if he wasn\'t part of the family and hurting too, and I was in my own. He then tore out of there in his car, leaving me reeling, to drive us up there. He sat beside me but ignored me at the service. When we were walking to the grave side, by which time I had finally truly lost it....this is when it began to feel real to me that she was gone, I tried to come up to him. He literally rolled his eyes and left me standing there looking rather ridiculous. He then left without saying a word to anyone and went home. I wad punished for quite some time over this betrayal key me tell you.
