pouring rain and i'm dizzy, i guess from the anemia. ugh.
the posture bra arrived, it seemed like it would be small, but so far its comfortable and not as much pain at all. amazing. love it when natural things work out. they have sold these for decades. they have them for men and women. they call it a vest for men.
the estimate to paint the exterior of the house is $2500 plus materials, which for stucco the materials are also expensive (guess that is another advantage of brick or stone - no painting). the painter said that 2000 square feet is considered a "little" house. wow. i always viewed it as normal size. he expects a 2 story home to be 4000 square feet. i thought to myself, are you from texas? i know its like that there. but in florida, its definitely not like that. most urban areas in general aren't like that. inside, its 50 cents per square foot to paint.
the sofa that he wanted me to look at is cloth, i would need plastic covers. lmao. we had those DECADES ago, when i was a kid - in fact, most houses had those. lol. it will keep the furniture perfect. have a feeling the animals will go through it anyway. just a guess. rn says to look at patio furniture, that is all she buys because of the animals. she needs chairs though, i have no idea how she is going to match it.
darla on here says to look up zetia, for cholesterol. i also want to look at holistic and just being me again and swimming every day etc., can i do that with anemia? how does this work. i had no idea that statins deteriorate MUSCLES and that a person's HEART IS A MUSCLE. wth? they shouldn't be allowed to sell it at all. wonder how much damage i did being on these pills? and is the damage permanent? generally damage is permanent. wth?
looked up acute narrow angle glaucoma. i need to have that looked at right away. no idea if that is what this is, or if its more from the statin and will get better once off statins. statins also give you cataracts. omg!
went to ihop with j, never go there usually. got pancakes with blueberry compote which was fabulous.
had dinner at k's. was up until 3 a.m. watching 21 Days Together (1940). Directed by Basil Dean. With Vivien Leigh, Leslie Banks, Laurence Olivier, Francis L. Sullivan. After Larry Darrent accidentally kills ... its a super old movie so just my speed. really enjoyed it. what did we eat? hmmm. rum and cokes. salad. soup. chicken parm, brussel sprouts and broccoli. if i don't start writing these right away, i'll never remember. also went to cook's by accident, with j. they closed down all the holiday houses which i love. they have leg of lamb there with brown gravy (i know i shouldn't eat that) and unlimited vegetables with really great fresh carrots). as far as i know, they closed the restaurant down two years ago. then the paper said they sold the chain and have two open in orlando and winter park (the restaurant as a chain has existed since 1983). the original restaurant still exists, but they aren't allowed to advertise as part of the deal when they sold. so, they went back to their original name from 1954, which is Cook's (its the founder's last name). that was a great find and totally unexpected. we were actually there for Stetson's Book Sale, but its always fun out there.
also started the book "the undertaking" by obree magee, its a book club book. it has mixed reviews but its excellent. its 1941-1945, he is an ordinary young nazi soldier (former teacher) on the front in russia and she is a young nazi woman (former bank teller) living in berlin. you don't get many books about world war 2, from this perspective. they married via a catalog as part of the nazi breeding program (doesn't say the last part but its discussed in there).
Paul Fussell, who used to teach at Upenn and who wrote the book Class or an Essay on Class for the short version, died. his second wife harriette behringer (a children's writer and editor) died as well. they died within five months of each other. he was married to his first wife for 30 years and his second wife for almost 30 years. that's a lot of years married, especially for an artist. he was a very sarcastic man, not a fan of USA at all - he says fighting in world war II changed him permanently - he was never the same again, there was no going back -- but the stuff he comes up with is brilliant. he won awards for his writing. when he used to teach at upenn he would use another name, but everyone knew it was him anyway and he was still teaching there under fake names even after he "retired".
