Riding The Storm Out

As the East Coast is facing Hurricane Earl, I feel today like I have my own emotional storm going on.  I don't like this.  I didn't want this.  I don't want to feel this way.  But it is what it is.  If today were a fish, I'd throw it back.  Jimmy Buffet did a song called "Trying to Reason With Hurricane Season".  Somehow, it's how I feel today.  While we don't have hurricanes in Arizona, I got a doozy blowing in my mind today.  So as I pray for those good DS friends who really are facing Mother Nature today, I'm just going to ride this one out in my own personal pity pot today.........And pray that tomorrow is a better day for us all............

Oh, how I can relate to just what you are feeling...I have been in the same frame of mind today...and I know the song you mentioned...(I\'m a JB fan from way back!). It\'s okay to feel what you & I have felt today; we are entitled to the occasional pity party. I don\'t want to feel anything right now...I wish I could go back to those first days of numbness when I was on autopilot...it was easier then. But...a dear friend that I talked to day reminded me that we must feel in order to heal...and as it is with all serious wounds, it will take time, and perhaps multiple episodes of the wound being opened and drained of all the festering before it is completely healed...even then there will be a scar...but the scar will remind us that we survived. You will be in prayers tonight, my friend...Blessings & a HUG... ~E~

Sorry you are having a bad time today. Sometimes we refer to it as the \"roller-coaster\" of grief. I do hope tomorrow is better for you. Today is the 2nd anniversary of my husband\'s death, and I am much better emotionally than last yr. I did have a \"blue day\" earlier this week. We will always love and miss them - but for me time has helped in some ways.
Blessings,
Doye

Sorry for your bad day......they seem to catch us unaware and turn us inside out......the good news is that after a bad time (at least for me) there is a period of relative calm and peace.......until the next \"one\". The beauty of this site is that others prop us up on our bad days until we can stand again and we do the same for them. Hope tomorrow is much better.
Hugs from another Buffet fan, Dianne

Go with it and don\'t fight it. These days will get you down but not out.
Hoping for a better tomorow.
