Return After A Long Silence

The sense of loss and grief over the loss of my mother to cancer, after having gone through this with Darryl, caught up with me and I have not been online for many months. It felt like I had simply run out of words. To be mute for awhile seemed to be what was required.
In just the past two weeks I have picked up some of the creative work that was so much a part of my signature and I am back working in online environments.
Warm wishes to everyone here. I have missed the friendship and support of this group and hope that I can sustain contact with many of you.
love Heather

So glad to see you back! I always enjoyed your journals. Did you move? It\'s not the same as writing, but I quit reading my books for over a year too. I\'m back to it, but it was odd to let my life long reading habit go for so long.
Love....

Glad you are back. We all have moments that take us away from this sight but the friendship that we have developed as well as the connection we all feel with each other will keep us as friends whether we take a break for a sort or long time. We understand all too well what grief brings. Take care. Maria

Good to hear from you again, Heather. The journey through grief isn\'t easy and we have to find whatever way through seems to be the right one. Hopefully being back on DS indicates some progress for you and I hope the mutual friendship and support here helps you further. Looking forward to hearing what you\'re doing now but it\'s good that you are returning to some of the things that you enjoy. Take care. Patrick

Heather sometimes sitting with quiet thoughts and reflecting is good for the soul.the mind, the spirit, whatever name we call it,its taking time out sometimes just to think, and in its own way its a healing process.
Some say get out, make your self busy with thoughts, actions, but sometimes,we do need to reflect on how it was then and how it is now,to me its cathartic,l often do it,the mind and body at times does need it.
lts lovely to see you are still around,l do think how you are doing, and l hope your new home brings you some pleasure

Alice.

Heather...sometimes we just need to be quiet and alone and that is okay. Whether you are online or not, the support for you is still here. It is nice to hear from you and know that you are still connected to us. I am hoping that you have better days ahead. Hugs, Nancy

Heather, I have missed hearing from you. There are times that just being and letting the world move around us is best. You take a rest from participating and just watch. It is food for the soul at times. I am glad to see you back. Please know that I am sorry about your Mom. Did I read in anohter comment, you moved ? How is the new home ??????? Have a peaceful week....Hugs Jane
