Retaliation
I am worried about retaliation from Joe. He said something to me as I was leaving "Plan Ahead".
But then again...he might think Im not worth the effort. Ive blocked him from calling or texting until things settle down.
Im in my bed with coffee and Sammycat this morning. Its like I never left. I feel lucky enough that I have a job to go to right now where so many dont. I hope I dont lose it. Worried because the economy is so bad right now it could be anyday if this virus gets worse. Cant worry about it...what will be will be.

I am thrilled to hear you are re-united with Sammycat. Go guys! ! ! Hope healing happens here.
For what it's worth
In a not-mine-to-sort sort of way, the ex-collectors in my own life seem to feel more hurt by the ex'es that refuse to retaliate than they are with the ex'es who fight back. I think. Maybe. For sure, I have the romantic IQ of a cow turd and their love affairs are neither my circus nor my monkey. To my strictly personal, pragmatic mind, partnership is not about poetry, wine and roses. It's about teamwork in the challenge of finding what works for us, play by play, through the on-going challenges of Life.
Arfie,
Thanks..Sammycat seems to be thrilled too and Roomie seems happy. I was thinking and worrying about RV Joe this morning.
I didn't want to hurt him-but sometimes you have to burn the village.....I can't let my fantasy of what might have been with whomever to over shadow my well being and independence. It just didn't feel right. Yes...Joe Rv painted a fantastic picture and I have no doubt that some of it might have came true....but...the heavy drinking and lack of motivation...I was only there a week and found myself just more stressed about the situation. And his mother kept trying to plan the wedding....The day before my exit, I received a email from her about how she had called a B & B for the night after the nuptials in which I knew nothing about. What it boils down to it this.....I was in the dark about the proposal while everyone of his friends knew a month in advance.... and the wedding....his mother apparently was taking it upon herself to plan the whole shindig without my knowledge......and me needing to be in control felt like PECOS SAGE was tumbling down the center of a tornado....sometimes I think we need to be thrown into that chaos whirlwind to realize just how much control we need in our lives. Today I am fighting the feelings of what might have been......it couldve been great....but it might have been terrible. I think I must qualify as the Runaway Bride....
I don't thin k you can run away from a wedding that never happened but just the idea his mom was planning the wedding without asking your permission and without asking for your input would send up red flags all over the place. I am wondering if she runs rv Joe's life like that? If so then he might have some growing up to do since mom handles his life for him.
You made the right decision. He won't do anything to you. It's the immaturity in him that is seemingly threatening you. but underneath it all, it's just a tantrum over not getting his own way and not being able to control you.
That's just my humble opinion which may be wrong. I don't know him as well as you do but from what you have said, I honestly think you can do better. You are a good person with a heart of gold and many GOOD men would love to have you in their life.
So just chalk this up to a ;learning experience. We all make mistakes, Lord knows I have made plenty, but that's why they put erasers on pencils. (do they use those anymore?)
Lol...i was just looking thru the supply cabinet at work last week and saw a box of wood pencils...I made the comment that we should probably donate them to a museum because noone uses wood pencils anymore.
Bob...thank you for being so kind....but...i know im broken and i believe Rv Joe is too.
Not sure ill ever be salvagable but atleast im not in denial.
