Rested, and still feeling positive in my mind

Good morning journal, the time is 9:05am,I have been awake since 7:45am after a restful night,I was not disturbed by dreams, and I did not wake once after falling asleep quickly.Yesterday was a very pleasant day,and I felt good despite the pain in my back, which seems to be ever present at the moment.I set out to be agreeable and polite,I also managed to keep my temper, even after our youngest, and biggest dog, jumped into my lap on my chair when my wife got too close to him with the hoover. His desperate leap to safety resulted in him smashing the glass on the table next to my chair, leaving me with a very deep cut to my right forearm. My wife was very angry with him, but, surprisingly,I didn't get mad at all,I figured if the poor guy was that scared, then he didn't need me bawling him out as well.My wife made some butterfly stitches out of band aids, and my arm feels sore, but it will heal,so no sense in making a federal case out of what was an accident. My day continued in the same quiet and content manner until we both retired for the night,so I would say that my plan for the day was an unqualified success, and this morning,I am still feeling positive and upbeat,so the plan for today is a blueprint of yesterday, let us hope it is as successful.I have only been taking the seroquel for a short time, but the voices in my mind are quieter,in fact some days, they are silent for the majority of the time;I don't know if it's the medication working or not,but it is a relief nonetheless.I am trying to be more communicative with my wife, and I am trying to answer the questions that she has concerning how I'm feeling at any given time, sometimes I can answer her, other times I just don't know,so I tell her I don't know and she accepts that.I try to keep her involved with the treatments I am receiving now,and asking her opinions on the upcoming treatments I will be undergoing. She is a very intelligent woman, and she knows me better than anyone on the planet,so it is good to have her input,I am slowly discovering that my attempts to protect her from worrying about me,could also be seen in her eyes,as shutting her out.I'm not perfect, but I'm trying, and by allowing my wife to share my hopes and,a lot of the time,my fears about the future,I can see that she is more content in her own mind.So journal,I will attempt to be today the man I was yesterday, hopefully tomorrow,I will be able to report that I was, until then, peace walk with us.

Scott, it seems your making progress on many levels, and I am sure that does your heart and soul good. Hang in there and keep it up. Take care, Bill

Scott, your wife sounds a lot like me. I would rather know than not know about any situation. Somehow that allows me to face whatever may come with a fierce determination and resolve. I always do better when I\'m well informed. Perhaps your wife is the same way. Love to you both.
