Resigned but determined

This is the third year in a row that I've ended up confined to my bed because of DDD, on my birthday. I figure crying again this year is a waste of my time. I have books to catch up on from my goodreads groups and if I feel like eating at all may get hubby to get take out. My appetite is non existent.  I had bad side effects from the meds yesterday so it's not really a good idea for me to be out. It was quite unnerving. I lowered my dosage today and hope I do better. The window by my bed is open and warm spring breezes are moving my curtains in response. I slept sporadically but deeply. Pain is there but managed. I received a call from my friend whom I refer to as my Sis. She too has severe DDD so can commiserate with me on things. We had a lovely chat until her pain took control and she had to go. Puts my situation into perspective. God is indeed good and I will rely on His timing and trust Him for each day. Thanks to my "friends" here who messaged me with words of encouragement. We are indeed not alone in this struggle to live well in spite of what this condition does to us and what it takes from us.
