Reminiscing
December 24th...Christmas Eve...
Takes me back a few years...a friend and I were playing Russian Roulette...we each spun the cylinder for 6 turns apiece..pointing the gun to our heads each time...and "click". It was my turn..I spun cylinder, pointed gun to my head...and for some odd reason I turned it straight up in the air...and BOOM!
I look back on that night with regret....not that I played...but that on the last spin...I turned away

im happy u missed
I am too.. Were all here for a reason, we don\'t know what that is yet or when we will know, but if you weren\'t meant to be here you wouldn\'t be... Keep you head up and live each day to the fullest
sounds to me like something intervened. there is a reason you chose to fire into the air. I\'m glad you did. Hugs
You are meant to be here! Don\'t give up and surround yourself with good people. Be kind to yourself and give yourself a pat on the back for every little nice thing you do and for making it through the day. Things DO get better. Life IS worth living and God IS there for you.
I believe that our life is like an amazing and beautiful tapestry, but for now we only see the back of it with all the loose threads, knots, figures we don\'t understand, partial pictures that are hard or impossible to decipher right now. But when we meet God, EVERYTHING will be clear!
1 Corinthians 13:12 ASV
American Standard Version
For now we see in a mirror, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know fully even as also I was fully known.
One thing I am sure of, because it has happened to me so many, many times.
Romans 8:28 King James Bible
And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.
Do I love God?....yes....do I know that God called me to be His in joy and because He loves us?....yes. The worse things have been, in time I\'ve seen the best things came from it. Did it happen fast enough for me? No lol! Looking back I see God\'s hand in so many small and big things.
Does Satan want us to be discouraged? You bet! I struggle many days not to feel sorry for myself or to worry less and Trust GOD! It isn\'t easy but is IS doable.
Here\'s an article I bookmarked to read when I need to.

Can God Bring Good out of Bad?
Look, suffering is inevitable. No one gets a free pass. The fact of the matter is that you are either coming out of a storm or headed into another. It\'s just a matter of time.
In this life, the only way to avoid suffering is to die.
What you want to do is get ready now, so you will have a proper biblical foundation and can properly process and react as these challenges come into your life.
As Randy Alcorn says in his book If God is Good, \"Most of us don\'t give focused thought to evil and suffering until we experience them. This forces us to formulate perspective on the fly, at a time when our thinking is muddled and we\'re exhausted and consumed by pressing issues.
People who have \'been there\' will attest that it\'s far better to think through suffering in advance.\"
In other words, be prepared ahead of time!
Paul reminds us that we are to \"Let the words of Christ, in all their richness, live in your hearts, and make you wise. Use his words to teach and counsel each other\" (Colossians 3:16). But we would rather not do that, because the topic of suffering is difficult and uncomfortable.
Suffering is one of those things we all want to avoid if at all possible. If you are flying and you see a storm, you try to fly around it, not into it. But here\'s the realitysometimes you simply cannot do that. Your life can be going reasonably well one moment, and then it changes in a flash. That certainly happened for our family.
Here is one of the \"good things\" that come out of crisis and suffering. You turn to God with a dependence like you have never had before, like a child running to his mom or dad and burying his face in their shoulder.
And do you know what? God is there waiting for you with the strength, peace, and love you need. Not necessarily with all the answers you may want, but He is there.
One of the things you \"treasure\" in suffering is knowing God\'s presence. Your faith begins to grow stronger. Faith does not grow through ease and comfort. It grows through challenge, conflict, and difficulty.
Faith is like a muscle in that it gets stronger through use, not neglect. If you do not use your muscle, it can atrophy.
We have a choice in lifeuse it or lose it!
The Bible reminds us, \"Consider it a sheer gift, friends, when tests and challenges come at you from all sides. You know that under pressure, your faith-life is forced into the open and shows its true colors. So don\'t try to get out of anything prematurely. Let it do its work so you become mature and well-developed, not deficient in any way\" (James 1:24 MSG). \"
Strong words and I\'ve found them to be true. We fall down, we fail, we have things happen to us that are out of our control!
BUT, how we react to things is OUR choice, so we get up, we work again to succeed and when things happen that are out of our control. God helps us to go around it, go through it, or climb over it!
If every time that a child fell when learning how to walk....it gave up and sat there for the rest of it\'s life, there would be a lot of urealized dreams sitting on the ground. The world would NOT be a better place in anyway as the people who would have come to the rescue of a beaten child, or the hungry or the broken would not come. Inventions would never be invented. Many people would not be loved and cared for.
I think we are put on earth to be His hands and His love, to look less at ourselves and more to others and to reach for the goals God would like us to reach.
God NEVER made anything imperfect. We are meant to be here. To mean something, to help people with their burdens and to care for one another. But always ask God for wisdom in all our dealings with people and the world, there are pitfalls and problems. God is there to help us through them and not to make them dissappear ....though Lord knows I would really, really, like it if He did lol.
P.S. Always, always have a sense of humor and Faith and Hope and most of all, Love! Ann
Nothing Can Separate Us from Gods Love
31 What shall we say about such wonderful things as these? If God is for us, who can ever be against us? 32 Since he did not spare even his own Son but gave him up for us all, wont he also give us everything else? 33 Who dares accuse us whom God has chosen for his own? No onefor God himself has given us right standing with himself. 34 Who then will condemn us? No onefor Christ Jesus died for us and was raised to life for us, and he is sitting in the place of honor at Gods right hand, pleading for us.
35 Can anything ever separate us from Christs love? Does it mean he no longer loves us if we have trouble or calamity, or are persecuted, or hungry, or destitute, or in danger, or threatened with death? 36 (As the Scriptures say, For your sake we are killed every day; we are being slaughtered like sheep.[a]) 37 No, despite all these things, overwhelming victory is ours through Christ, who loved us.
38 And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from Gods love. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons,[b] neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrownot even the powers of hell can separate us from Gods love. 39 No power in the sky above or in the earth belowindeed, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord.
See, you are needed here!! Even if you can\'t believe it. In the end, things work for your good. You may not see it now, but when you get to heaven you will be surprised how many people will say, \" I am here because you said.....\" or \" I am here because you showed me, through your life.............\"
Don\'t give that idiot another victory. Live and believe that God is in control. Live defiantly. Don\'t give in to \"the easy\" side. It really is very hard in the end.
Matthew 11:29-30
29 Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30 For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.
Don\'t even think about it. What would your \"people\" think!!!???
OK! That was a cheap blow. But, really, think about it!! Why were you lead to fire into the air? Do you think the Spirit was at work?
I\'m glad you turned that gun upward my friend :)
I am so glad that you did the right thing and turned the gun away! I have tried to commit suicide and am so glad that I did not succeed. I lived to find a wonderful new woman for me. I am sure that you to shall find a reason that you lived!!
In the end weather or not you turn to the Lord or not is your choice. I did. It is all in your hands and heart. You are here for a reason and you and only you will find that reason! Just search for it in your heart! It is there! Good luck to you!
