Religion...
Ok so today I was in class and we started to have an open discussion about religion, and I came out after everyone said they were Christians, and Catholics, some Muslims, and one of Jewish faith, after it came time for me to discuss things I was awkwardly silent while they were all talking and chatting, they asked me what faith I believed in and I said, "I do not believe in God" all of the sudden all the questions were directed to me....I felt so bombarded with questions I didn't know how to handle it but I just remained calm and answered them as best as I could, stating that I grew up in a home where no body taught me the teachings of Jesus or the bible. After today I gathered a lot of information and I guess you could say I am just so confused. Every religion has their beliefs and things that they find there strength in. I find my strength with sports and playing guitar also being by myself. I never realized how special this "God" is to people like people dedicate their lives to the understanding and practicing of "God" but then I came to the realization that everyone thinks differently about various practices. So which one is correct? I really want to dig down deep into peoples beliefs and if you want to share your knowledge with me please do so. I want to get a better grip of what people are talking about for I am interested in this kind of topic now. I have not read any scripture or read the bible, I just ask that you give me a better perspective on why you believe in god and help me understand the ways of religion. You can post here or send me a private message, I am opened to learning new things about it and I appreciate it if you could help me for the next time I walk into the classroom I want to be prepared to talk and participate fully... Thanks so much and I hope you have a great day if you read this far :)
