REGROUP!
There's always another challenge whenever I take up a challenge, lol. This time, I put my back out by tripping over the dogs. It's not real bad, just hurts enough to stop me mid-bend, lol.
But there's more to this than aches! As I wait 2 to 3 days to heal, I'm noticing things I would normally overlook. Like with my fitness challenge - it's giving me time to focus on my eating habits... which turn out to be pretty good. I've just added in more fruits while cutting out the high calorie chocolates I binged on over the winter, and it FEELS easy (well, at least until next week's weigh in, lol). And I SO want to work out, but lifting weights is out. Yet, on Sunday, I pulled out the shovel and rake and did some gardening.... shovel, flip the dirt, rake it smooth, pick up rocks (found a big quartz rock!), gather up loose grass that was left, carted it off to the other side of the yard in a wheel barrow and started a composting pile - I was actually bending pretty well, and I feel VERY accomplished since I've got my flower gardens ready to plant - gonna plant sunflowers EVERYWHERE! And because I stiffened up yesterday, I took a small walk around my yard.... noticed the grass beginning to peak through - and HEY! TULIPS!
I'm surprised at how different Spring and Summer feel compared to winter (probably my SAD). Though I enjoy winter sports, winter generally means being stuck in doors. But the 60 to 70 degree days this week are calling me.... and out is coming the bike today - I can at least pedal, lol - and the sun FILLS me up, clears my mind. And I feel great! Fulfilled for some reason that even I don't know. And though I look toward the near future with a little fear (the fear of the unknown), I'm ready to embrace it! The thought of the house being solely mine for the first time this summer is exciting! When (if) that money comes in, I should have enough to not only save, but GET MY NEW FLOORS IN (my back better be fine by then, lol); And those tulips - the X used to mow them over every year... but THIS YEAR, I'm turning that corner into another flower garden (and didn't I mention that I killed the rose bush? lol. Yep, another challenge). AND, I keep thinking I should go camping this weekend - high of 68, low of 36 - though there is still some snow up there at the campground.... hmmmm.....
I think I'm about to begin LIVING in a way I've never been able to before, and it's EXCITING!
LATER!

Spring always seems to be a time of renewal. The birds making their nests, the trees and flowers are blooming again. I\'m tilling up the garden this weekend.
Take care with that back.Ice it and then get a therma care patch. Spring is a great time to make you want to live your life again the way you want to live it.
