Regret

I wasnt there when he passed away. I was too worried about getting back to work on Monday so that i didnt lose my brand new job.... Regret. I was begged my my gramma, and my family to stay.... I went... Regret. The day I got back, my dad called me asking if I wanted to come back up, (my mind wasnt in the job.. they fired me) I had no job anymore, but I didnt know if I could stand to watch him waste away everyday. -Cowardice  By the time I make up my mind to go, I decide to call my mother to tell her. She doesnt know that I dont know he's already gone. She tells me. And I break into pieces. I was too late... regret.   people say life it too short to live it with regrets, but theres no stopping it. = Regret

Why is it all of these feelings of regret lead to me feeling less of myself, less confident, less aware, feeling like happiness will never return. Feelings like I will never again find a true smile. AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG I need help.

*BIG HUGS* what a terrible thing to have gone through. Please stop blaming yourself, I know thats harder than it sounds, but you really weren\'t to know. Its going to be a horrible time because you\'re grieving but I promise it DOES pass, even though right now it feels like it never will. Just take your time, don\'t rush yourself and your feelings. xxxx

You are feeling what you are supposed to feel as part of your grief. Know that your Grandpa knows that you love him and that you wanted to be there for him
*hugs* xx

I\'m so sorry your Grandpa died, but I don\'t think being physically present at a death is so important. You loved him, that is what counts. When my father passed, I was gone getting lunch for everyone. Now, I had been there for months, but at the critical moment I wasn\'t there. Your in mourning for your grandpa now. It is natural to feel sad. Your happiness will return, but you have to walk through the grieving process first.
