Regret!
Wow!
Thursday of last week...the thought came into my mind to go visit a friend from school, whom I had not seen in a while. It was late evening and I said well...I will go see him this Sunday after church.
(We had lost contact...due to time....etc...)
He passed away Saturday morning!!!
I try to "live with no regrets"...but man........this has me down!!!!

O my that is awful I am so sorry for your loss... regret is hard.. but unfortunately we can\'t live each day with what ifs because while dwelling we make be making more what ifs in the process.. Prayers for your friends family
Sorry to hear that. I have a lot of regrets too. And most of them have to do with taking oppotunities for granted. It is a human flaw that we always assume there will be more time to do things. We really need to live for today, but applying this philosophy is so hard.
Some advice that was given to me was to try to find comfort in the memories that I do have of the person that I lost. I hope eventually you can do the same.
I am sorry that you did not get a chance to see your friend. I often have thoughts of people and always call them - just in case. hugs
I can\'t imagine how painful that can be since I have been there, done that, and it\'s not healthy or helpful and yet I make the effort to tell friends how much they mean to me, I told bro Marlin I loved him when we talked each time and although it was painful for me for a long time, it would have been FAR worse if I didn\'t tell him of my gratitude for his encouragement he put into my life which helped me deal with problems. He lived in Florida and Georgia and we would talk on the phone often. May the Lord be gracious to yourself, and his family. Lots of Gentle Hugs headed for all concerned!
Keep us updated on how your doing when your able to do so.
Well lets just hope that he is in a better place now :)
