Reflecton #22
FOLLOW YOUR GUIDE"I will insturct thee and teach thee in the way which thou shalt go; I will guide thee with mine eye."Psalm 32:8What of a man walking through a glorious glade who fretted because ahead there lay a river he might not be able to cross, when all the time that river was spanned by a bridge? And what if he had a friend who knew the way? So leave your foolish fears and follow Me, your guide, and refuse to consider the problems of tomorrow. My message to you is to trust and wait. I swear, God always seems to know what I need to hear. This morning, I started feeling really down and worried. I did my walk but still felt discouraged and worried. I have a cargiologist appt today which was cancelled last week and rescheduled. Anticipation of these appts wreak havoc on my nerves. I kow I have nothing to worry about as it's just a precautionary test, but I find myself obsessing about if my BP will be ok, if I will have a panic attack, what will happen if I do? Trink won't be with me. But my dad will be. It's a test for me today. I have to continue to tell myself that I should anticipate and just go through my day like normal. I have been feeling really good and doing really well. I need to focus on the positive stuff. I know I will be fine. I just really want to be done with the visit already. But I have to wait until 3:15. so.... I took a Xanax to calm my nerves (that's why I have them). Not beat myself up because I took a Xanax, and just be strong in the knowledge that God is always with me and I am NOT alone. I will be fine and I will pass this test of my nerves and my heart just fine. Thanks for checking in. Big hugs and love to you guys! D
