reflecting in Africa
I'm on my first trip back to Africa since adopting our boys. I went to a primary school today and the children were so beautiful and hopeful despite their horrible living conditions. This trip has been a good reminder to me of how blessed we truly are in the US and how blessed I am personally. While it it easy to dwell in our sadness over our losses, at times like this, I am filled with gratitude to God for all that He has given me and am reminded that our pain of loss would not be there if we hadn't been given something wonderful in the first place. I thought I'd share a few pictures with my DS friends and wish you all some days of reflection and gratitude. Thank you for all that you have done to help me in my grief and especially to those of you who have given me hope and a reason to smile. I know that I still have much love to give during my time here on earth and I hope to become as much of a blessing to others as they have been to me. None of us wanted to find our way here, but we are amongst good company and together we can do far more than alone.

CJ,
Thank you so much for sharing your trip and your photos are so beautiful. You are so right - we are blessed here and even with the losses that we have faced and continue to work thru, we were truly blessed with such love and happiness in the first place.
Thank you also for everything that you have done to help me along this journey. You continue to be an inspiration in my life. You are truly a blessing to so many.
Hugs to you,
Chris
