Redemption or ruin?
The sign went on the CA home yesterday. The PA home was struck by lightning, and currently unsellable. We're going to medition to hash out the custody of L'il GUN. I feel a slow drift into a steady and protracted decline is at hand. A long cold winter is about to set in. The job is a mess, albeit secure. The end of my marriage is the most attractive thing on my horizon. I've referenced James Lileks here before. Just read a disturbingly familiar reference from him today regarding what he calls a personal and professional betrayal. I really hope it's not what I think. My son turns three in a few weeks. Three years ago, I was on top of the world. A few months later, I was out of a job. A few months beyond that, we were out of California. A few weeks beyond that, I was out of favor with the wife. Did I say a steady and protracted decline is at hand? My bad. This is a continuation of a three-year crash dive. The good news is that the end is near. And that may also be the bad news.
