RECOVERY TIME
SOMETHING TO SHARE, Hello journal, long time since I have been here. Well Parkinson's nearly got me this time. I'm just out of hospital. Taken there by emergency ambulance, I was diagnosed with pneumonia. I am at home now recovering. This whole episode has left me weak and vulnerable, it has taken so much out of me. I will be resting up for some time, accepting that it will take time to get back that which I have lost. By applying and complying to my clinicians instructions and, by my own efforts, I will recover. When I'm given the go ahead to start my own recovery regime I will apply myself accordingly, giving myself every chance. I will recover even though I have been brought down low. Now is definitely not the time to weep moan and lament. It is the time to go harder, to 'up the anti' and to get going again. I will recover. I have no time for negative or defeatist talk, when I'm given the go ahead I will give it 100% effort. It's a big ask, yet I think, feel and believe I can and will rise to the occasion. By applying myself in this way I give my self the chance of a full recovery, doing nothing guarantees failure, this doesn't bare thinking about. So with a positive attitude, self belief and mental strength I think, feel and believe I will make a full recovery/
This is my goal and I will achieve it.
It's me and my formidable back up team against Parkinson's. Having starred it down, I will fight it all the way, with everything I have. I have no intention of giving up, no intention of growing old gracefully, and I will be the last man standing. Hey Parks, up yours you slimy bastard, I'm still here, still here still, I did not give in. Stewart

I LOVE your attitude! WOW....what a scare you had. An ambulance & and hospital stay are SERIOUS business.
I am pleased by your statement that you are accepting that it will take you some time to get back on your feet. This is one of those times that - while you need to be a fighter - you need to take this at a slow enough pace in order for your body to get the rest it needs in order to heal.
You\'ve already proved you carry the strength to fight PD - YOU ARE STILL HERE! And....for that I am thankful!!!!
