Recovery is a long road.
I have made a great deal of progress with my lying. The truth is coming a lot more naturally to me now. I am highly encouraged.
My relationship is also showing great improvement (on both sides) and we are both secure about moving forward.
The tough part? He doesn't seem to be able to move forward mentally from my adultery. I know he wants to and he is reacting in calmer, more loving ways to his "moments", but they are still frequent (almost daily and sometimes more than once per day or all day). I try to always respond in patience and love and to reassure him that he is what I want and that this won't happen again (and the reasons why it won't). Sometimes my responses help and sometimes they don't (he says whether they do or not is more about his mindset). Sometimes I can't even say anything nice to him without him getting upset. It's so frustrating.
I guess I just have to keep working on me and making the efforts toward him. Maybe at some point the slow progress will pick up and/or lead to being healed.
