Recluse
I feel I am becoming a recluse. I haven't slept for a week and my appetite is becoming poor. I have in a sense shut myself off from the world. My roommate doesn't force me out but in a sense I trust only him but there are things he hasn't told me.
We live together so I have no choice but to trust him. My phone bill is coming up due and I have wrestled with not paying it and not having a phone. I could do without it. I lived without cell phone growing up. I miss the simple days.
I think I just reached my feel in the people dept. Atleast the ones who hurt me. The latest thing at work really got me and coupled with parting with my friend. I'm too tired to keep analyzing stuff. For now, I'll crawl under the covers and wish the world away.

In my recluse camps, it takes allot longer than a week to become a recluse. Your membership application will be reviewed again in 2024 or so, or whenever we can stand one another's company long enough to form the review committee. Whichever comes first. Committees are proof than none of us is as stupid as all of us and. . . you know, ya know. . .
As for a romantic of many ex'es learning how to be alone with her/hisself. . .
I opine that crawling under the covers and wishing away the world as you know it sounds like a good plan for now. Just my opine. . .
Continued support while you find what works for you, Sage.
I have been thinking about canceling my phone as well. I don't need my landline because my cell phone can get me by. Hell, I don't need my tv because I almost never watch it. I only keep it for when the ex comes to visit. She likes to watch those police shows..
Life is harder when you're on SSI which is why I work part time. I agree with you though, people can be mean when all I want is peace and quiet but that's life, I guess. I accept things the way they are because it makes my life easier that way.
God Bless
I don't watch tv at all. I just found out about the earthquakes today. My cell phone I feel takes away from other things. I could take that 50.00 a month and plant a garden, invest in a book subscription or save for a rainy day. Between my computer at work and my tablet at home, I really don't need it.
If something happens ill borrow someone else or invest in a Google voice number...so many options, just don't want to be tied to my phone.
Arfie, as far as the reclusiveness goes, I do feel reclusive compared to how I use to be. I had a sense of purpose and adventure but now I just don't feel anything. I feel safest just staying at home but also worry because I get deeply depressed too.
