Real strong the first 10 miles or so. Slowed to a comfortable pace from 11 - 15. Then blew it. Started racing people and pushing myself. hit a major wall at mile 20 (another lesson here is "know the course"! I didn't realizeĀ it was coming back a different way than it went out. land marks are an important part of the psychological strategy.) but my walk breaks were very short, 100 yards or less and in the end, I shaved 34 minutes off my first marathon time!
Next up: Monumental marathon in Indianapolis, November 6, 2010
