Really don't like mean people
My boss made me cry, thank goodness she didn't see me. I am really too sick to be at work, but here I sit. Why? you ask. Unsympathetic (mean) administration, and a misguided sense of responsibility to the children I care for. This is a family run business, the owners have taken today off, so I tell the sister (administrator for today, who btw is also leaving early) that i need to leave 20-25 minutes early to make the last MD appt of the day. If looks could kill!!!! So what! I think to myself, I could have stayed home, so deal with it. One hour later as I am sitting at my desk just trying to make it through the day... she opens my door and asks me to 1. Give her copies of something I gave her 4 weeks ago, accusing me of not doing it! (so i point to the copy hanging on my board and say "do you mean this? no problem i will make you another copy" (in my froggy croaky voice, then start coughing so hard i am bent over in pain). 2. Then she freakin' says "oh and you need to type up a copy of that workshop you gave. (I have no computer provided for me at work-haha it is still the dark ages in this office-, she has a handwritten outline with copies of all the handouts and the attendance list) I HAVE NO WAY TO TYPE A COPY FOR HER, unless I do it at home and that is not happening......she should give it to one of the secretaries to type i am the NURSE for goodness sake. This was such a blatant act of passive aggressive punishment i can't believe it. Is there not a shred of appreciation that I came to work? And compassion for someone else's discomfort is of course out of the question. Ya know what? Next time I call in sick.
