It really sounds like your depression isn\'t being treated well enough. Even though we have plenty to be depressed about, feeling like you want to end it all permanently just shouldn\'t be one of the thoughts we entertain.
It\'s so hard to get friends you can trust but sometimes it happens at the strangest times. I\'ve found some nice people during support meetings, now I wouldn\'t exactly call them good friends but they are great people to talk to because they understand. Plus, I can be of help to them when they need an understanding person.
Only those of us who have a good idea of what you are going through can relate but people can still be friends if they are willing to accept the conditions we have. Good people won\'t see us as being our illness or disease, but as a real person who happens to have an illness or disease.
I will say, good people can be hard to come by, but generally they are non judgmental, caring people.
I hope you run across a good person soon, but remember we must be willing to interact, to make conversation.
I am so sorry you\'re feeling so bad, hon. Life can be so lonely sometimes, and it\'s easy to feel stuck in your circumstances. But, if you are open to the idea that life can change, people come into your life, and new opportunities can and will present themselves, you will soon shift out of this dark period and move on to a much happier life. Keep the faith, sweetie...tides are going to shift and things are going to get better soon. Sending you good thoughts and love.
Dear Tabitha: I certainly can relate to what you are going through. There is a lot of loneliness associated with people who are depressed as we tend to keep to ourselves. Do you attend church at all? Sometimes a Bible study group is a good place to make new friends. And then again, God will sometimes bring someone into your life at just the right moment. I pray that this will happen for you. I know from your writing that you have had some thoughts of suicide. My dear, you must fight against these thoughts and choose life. You must have that little mustard seed of faith that God will bring good out of your must trying circumstances. (See Romans 8:28) I do hope that you and your Mom can work things out and that your anger will be turned into hope and peace. Take good care. Please write me any time as I do understand.
May God bless you richly with His Presence and His grace today.
In Christ\'s love,
Kelly
