realization, or paranoia
20 minutes ago, at 9:30 at night I laid down in bed---to music blasting from downstairs apartment yet again. After 10 minutes of really hating the new tenant, I wondered if my landlord's real estate agent was the one who found this idiot, knowing full well he made noise, and thought it would be a way to get rid of me----after I was in an argument with her and a would-be tenant back around February.
Back then, I was trying to trap the cat that a tenant had left behind in January, with the real estate agent opening the door of the building, letting the cat out. And weeks later one of the homeless men she houses in this building, a convicted child molester, left the same cat out of a metal trap that was outside. Lots of yelling from me about both events, including to my landlord.
The real estate agent even acted as though I was one of her homeless clients. And at least one of her homeless clients, if not all of them, thought I was one of her homeless clients. When I called the convicted molester's ex-landlord up, he thought she owned the building I live in.
Gonna be a long wait till I bump into my landlord and ask if his real estate agent found this new tenant. Though, I'm ready to get out of this building anyhow, once I save the money to move, with even a worse place to live at least being a change of scenery, at this point. I'm probably gonna again drag my mattress to the lving room floor tonight, in order to sleep.

sorry the new dude down stairs is playing music so loudly....perhaps calling police with noise complaint would send him a message to knock it off....I was once the upstairs tenant who played music that was too loud for the down stairs tenant but it was because she worked early morning hours and was sleeping early evening hours....I really pissed her off...she was military....I moved I think she moved too...I went to first floor 2 bedroom apt across from the door to pool deck...LOL Loved that apt...I moved to Guam out of there....
I also had a terrible experience with lowlife people where I lived, and blasting music was a large part of it. Our absentee \"slum landlord\" who lived in Florida didn\'t give a rat\'s ass about our building--it was just a cash cow to him. Now thank God I live in a nice, quiet building. It takes 80 percent of my social security check, but it\'s worth it. Save, move into a better environment.
For sure call in a noise complaint to the police. The police might not come out but sometimes they will phone the tenant and tell them to keep it down. Enough complaints maybe they\'ll get fined.
hi. bill
the local cops are useless, especially for this slum section of town, where they routinely get calls about worse stuff.
living in guam at this point does sound nice.
hi. LivingWater,
my landlord and me get along a lot better than the other tenants and me, or the other tenants and landlord---but he has gotten desperate for tenants, with most of the downtown business section for rent or sale, so my moving is pretty inevitable
hi, again KellyPaterson,
the downstairs tenant is 65, not deaf, and I suspect he plays his music louder as he gets more wasted, which is probably why the music is loudest at the end of the day. I don\'t think any cop is gonna stop that bad, teenage, behavior.
The funny thing, when I woke this morning, to quiet, I really appreciated the quiet, for the first time in maybe years.
I suppose the lady you got into the argument could be trying to get even with you, but I think it more likely as you said they are desparate for tenants.
I hope you can get saved up and move soon. May or may not be much better but like you said a change of scene would be welcome.
Enjoy your quiet morning!
TroJanThunder,
10 minutes ago I came across this link, with an example of how loud noise can make a person stupid!
