Realization
The day I was being let go I had a realization about myself and it is; I for the longest time have been in some sort of supervisory or management position to have end up up having Brain surgeries, Brain tumors, seizures, tremors, and only being able to start at the bottom, as a regular employee. Do you see where this would be hard for me to adjust to? This is why I could never get along with the boss and his ways of doing things.
So when I made this relization, it was 90 days too late, the OJT contract has ended; but now that I know this about myself I can devote my energy to wake up, put that smile on my face because it's second nature and think to myself, "the world does not evolve around you Joe, it's okay to be normal, you don't have to prove yourself." If I say this every morning and when I get frustrated in a short time this too will become second nature and I beleive THIS is the path to liking myself.

Very good thinking. Hugs.
Sounds like you're learning self-compassion and how to accept yourself. You're enough just the way you are!
Makes perfect sense, why it was hard for you to adjust. It is a terrible thing to accept that we can't do what we used to do. You are correct in saying that you do not have to prove yourself. You are you, and wonderful just the way you are, no matter what job position you have. Your job position, does not define you as a person. I pray that you are able to like yourself again. Keep up the good work.
that's a great mantra.. ahh the pecking order in life, they must feel more intelligent then u or 'in control', its a case where u must down play your true potential to fit their smaller criteria, tongue biting, humbling but these are the cards we are dealt sometimes, play your best hand:)
