Reality Check

Well, I had another checkup today and things seem to be right on track.  I was very anxious to get in today, because on Monday afternoon I started having what I think are Braxton-Hicks contractions.  One of them, however, was accompanied by cramping in my low back, which they thought sounded like a "real" contraction.  They had me time them, and since there weren't quite 4 in an hour, they said to just lay down and drink some water.  After about 3 hours, they stopped, and I don't think I've had any since.  Whew!  What a little scare!  Since this is my first pregnancy, I don't know exactly what I'm feeling, so it really made me nervous.   I've been told that it is time to start slowing down.  It seems strange - for the first time in my pregnancy I actually feel like doing things and I have to slow down! ha!  I think the secret will be to take rests before I feel like I really need to.

I am due about the same time as you are and I just started with Braxton Hicks also. They are a little uncomfortable too.
