reading novel about amish infant switched at birth, really good//dinner at k's//50 tonight

expecting 50 degrees tonight.  was nice all day around 75 and rained yesterday a good part of the day, which was unexpected.
need to call br and hang before he leaves, also want to catch the tiger cat if we ever can.   two more called in and the ones by the pizza place still not done that i know of.  almost gave up there and it needs to be handled.
had dinner at k's.  pork and veggies.  he bought a new brandy, which i mostly didn't drink.  i'm not into brandies or cognacs.  still not.  i thought i may have changed.  i never change.  most of the things i liked when young i still like now and goes the same with dislikes.  lol.
currently reading a book on two babies switched at birth.  one is amish and one from nyc.  its excellent.  lots of things i didn't know about amish people.  like they used compressed air and gas and diesel.  they aren't really from the dark ages, they just don't want to know "english" people at all.  they can also drive cars, they just don't.  they ARE anti-electricity though and it makes you wonder if they are right.  their lifestyle reminds me of all the "going green" that people are doing today.
they don't tell you WHY the doctor did it, and i don't know if its based on a true story, but you get the impression that amish don't allow certain medical things and their infant wasn't okay, so he gave the healthy infant to the amish couple and the infant that needed medical care to the sophisticated couple who would handle it.  hmmmm.  to save the kids life?  OR the kids have the same first name and it was an honest mistake?  hmmm.  they receive a letter with the two birth certificates when they are 30 letting them know about this.  omg!  really interesting though and written really well.

Love books like that. Fascinating and ones learn so much of other cultures.
I\'ve read a few on morman wives, good too
Not much for brandy myself, but in winter as a hot toddy!

Sounds like a really good0 book! I enjoy \"mystery\" kind of stuff. It\'s highly possible that it\'s based on a true story though. There are other religions and sects that won\'t allow for blood transfusions and such....yep, could be a true story!!

I\'m not a drinker either! A glass of wine at night will calm my nerves though. The reder the better, they say! One glass of wine is supposed to be good for you!!! Chocolate is good for you too! Good to know being that I\'m ok without boos, but am a certified chocoholic! lol

Have a good night!! xoxo : )
