Reading Helps
It seems like there are very few things to pull me out of the awful greif, that has now become a normal part of my daily life. My husband and son come first, my best friend, my aunt (A minister)and my sister...the newest addition to that list has become reading, I had a true love for it as a teenager, but lost intrest, or time in reading till now. Since Jarretts death I've been clinging to the bible, and other Christian based books as if were my life line to stay with in the lines of sanity. Today I've been reading " When Your World Falls Apart" by Dr. David Jeremiah. I found a few quotes I wanted to share since mist of my friends here are in the same boat.
" Those who navigate little streams and shallow creeks, know little of the God of tempests; but those who " Do business in great waters" these see his wonders in the deep.Among the huge Atlantic waves of bereavement, poverty, temptation, and reproach, we learn the power of Jehovah, because we feel the littleness of man."
I found this to be so true. I have seen more hardship, more death, more real pain in my 29 years than most see in a lifetime. I have been told on several occasions that I'm a fighter, I'm strong, I'm brave... If you get tossed into the ocean you either swim to stay alive or surcome to the waves and die. Frankly I'm tired of trying to stay afloat! But I have noticed that those who have never faced hardship cannot understand our greif, and the fact that I'm still reaching for the Lords comfort. Why is it some people go through thier whole lives without real suffering, while others face insurmountable trials? How is that fair in the eyes of God? Why??
