Reached my goal!

OK, can't move the little goal tab when you're using a droid. But I'm loading up the daughter and the horses and heading to my first endurance ride since 2008!
This is the first time I will be competing 'healthy'. As I am in true remission for the first time since RA started in 2002. And with my daughter being almost 15 now and as good a rider as I ever was - with a competitive streak to boot.... Should end up a fast thirty miles.

Our two horses are also in their prime. They both did endurance back in 08 as five year olds. And placed 11th-14th out of fifty horses. Now they are eleven year olds which puts them close to their peak age for marathon performance. They've been training at the faster speeds of front runners. Both are very competitive against each other.

In endurance just finishing is winning. But finishing as a 'top tenner' is what riders strive for. This will be the first time I ever ride to actually be in that ten. Most of the races from '05-08 I brought up the rear. My moderate RA symptoms and fatigue made even that a challenge!

I wonder if anyone will recognize me? Back then I hobbled instead of walked and I was significantly heavier.... I dropped off the radar during my super flare of '09.
