RE appointment before 3rd IUI
So my hubby and I had an appointment with my RE yesterday to see what we can do in order to make my 3rd IUI a success. He decided to add injectibles to the mix along with the Chlomid. I"m excited that we got some more insight on our situation and he seems to be very positive about this next treatment. He said that my body is responding really well to the Chlomid and he wants to see if we can produce more follicles with the injectibles. At this point, give me twins! I don't care as long as we get preggo. He said that depending on how I do on the 3rd IUI, we will do the 4th if need be and he said then we will talk about IVF.
I will say that taking this month off has been the best decision I could have made. It's given me time to not obsess so much on IF and time to re-enegize for this 3rd IUI. I suggest to anyone who is emotionally overwhelmed, take a month off! Better to take some time for your health and sanity because stress doesn't make TTC any better.
Also GREAT NEWS from my RE, Remember how I was wondering about excercising? Well my RE CONFIRMED that my workouts of pilates, yoga, cycling and running are perfectly fine while TTC and while preggo! He said the general rule is to not let your HR get highter than 140 bpm for more than 15-20 min at a time. So for example, with cycling, they get your HR up for about 10 min, then up again. I know this sounds crazy but I'm so excited I can continue my workouts since it's a big stress relief for me and just helps my well-being overall.
Anyways, thanks for reading this and I'm really hoping that this 3rd IUI works when I start the cycle in two weeks.
Oh, and has anyone been prescribed Endometrin vaginal tablets? What the heck is that??
Love ya'll ladies!

I\'m so glad you\'re feeling positive and re-energized! Hopefully with the injections this one will be the one.
I am so glad to hear that you are feeling renewed and re-energized!!! Although I was intially distraught over taking last month off, it turned out to be the best thing for me afterall :)
Thats also fantastic about the workouts! I am doing the same thing right now, sticking with my low to moderate impact workouts, helps keep me busy and it is also such a great release!
I have some sort of vaginal estrogen I\'ll be using this month as well but will have to check the label when I get home!
Enjoy the next 2 weeks and I\'m crossing my fingers that IUI #4 will not be needed :)
It\'s progesterone and i\'m on it now after my IVF. I\'m on it 3 times a day. It\'s annoying, and gross and you\'ll be wet and leaky all the time. However, if it does the trick and helps you get preggo, then we\'ll deal with it! So glad you feel better about this next IUI and you were able to change the plan up a little bit. Does your insurance cover the progesterone? I just ask because there some called crinone that\'s a gel but you only have to do it 2x a day instead of 3. Just some info. So glad you\'re able to continue the workouts too. Fingers crossed this new protocol does the trick!
I am glad you feel re-energized after your break! They are always hard to take, because you feel like your are wasting time etc, but they are always fantastic for the mental state of things!
I hope adding the injectables and progesterone do the trick for you on lucky #3! Depending on the number of times a day you have to do the progesterone (with my IUIs I only had to do it at night), you may want to purchase some panty liners, because you do tend to leak when using them.
I\'m glad you feel so great after your month off! I really hope that the injectibles and progesterone is just what you need. Glad you also got a good answer about your workouts. Good luck!
I\'m so glad you had a great meeting with your RE and you are feeling at ease and excited krjohnson1980:) I am excited with you! The general rule of thumb with working out has always been do what you have been doing if your body is used to it. I think I was about 4weeks preggo and I was doing ropes courses, hiking up to great heights and zip lining down massive cables HAHA!! I did tone down my activity shortly after my first trimester to water aerobics (target has the BEST maternity swimsuits) and spin classes.
The vaginal inserts is progesterone for your whowho:0) It can get messy I suggest you have some panty shields on hand in case you need them. I remember doing all my shots and vaginal stuff and doing some crying and some laughing. Fertility meds really united my husband and I together to new and different depths thats for sure:0) I look back at our first fresh cycle IVF and fall in love with my husband all the more because of everything he had to help me with and did for me. He had to do my intramuscular injection in my butt because I just couldn\'t get the angle right to do it myself. Look for moments to laugh together over all this new stuff you are doing for your next IUI. Fertility meds can take your marriage to a WHOLE new level of real you never thought you would see! At one point I asked my hubby to look at my vagina to see what the heck was going on down there. Apparently for me the inserts caused zits down south. That was SO not something I ever thought we would experience together to say the least HA!
Thank you ladies for being excited with me! I\'m waiting for these weeks to go by so I can get this started. My hubby will be giving me the shots so I hope he\'s gentle..lol..@tntpetal..You\'re absolutely right about this bringing marriage closer. I know that it can tear some apart but honestly it\'s made us so united. I am so not looking forward to the progesterone though!
Shot tip: Lidocaine cream! My hubby bought some of the heavy duty stuff on Amazon for the intramuscular shots. It\'s pricy but worth EVERY cent. We circled an area in permanent ink and did the shots and cream in that one spot for as long as possible. After a few shots with the lidocaine there was a temporary numb area and it was a godsend for the rest of the shots since we had to do them until the tenth week of pregnancy. Good luck friend! *HUG! And always try to look for a humerous moment in all of this because oddly enough it is a marital memory in the making LOL!!
Hoping lucky #3 works for you!!!
Thank you lady!!
