Ravel and get Ept!

I was reading old journal entries last night, and ran across one I wrote when I was at the end of my gambling rope. It was right before I quit, and I was just a mess. Gambling had completely messed up my life, my head, my health, everything! I had become completely disorganized, totally playing catch-up on every aspect of my life, my finances, my house, my job. I couldn't concentrate, was missing deadlines, was running around like a chicken with it's head cut off. There were never groceries in the house, I hadn't exercised in months, yet somehow my family wasn't in high alert! Guess a cheery demeanor, even if it's just award winning acting, can obfuscate even an empty refrigerator. They really had no clue that I was in the process of falling apart.
One day, I was in the kitchen, saw a bill I had forgotten to pay and was now going to accrue major late fees. I sat down in defeat and disgust, and just said out loud "I'm unraveling!  I've just become so inept!"
Didn't know my youngest daughter was in the living room til I heard her respond. She's one of the most clever and witty people I know. She hollers "So Ravel and get ept!"  I was like "What???"  She comes in, saying "Well if you're UNraveled....Ravel!  And if you're INept...then get EPT!"  I was laughing so hard I almost fell off the chair, tears rolling down my cheeks, half laugh tears, half desperation tears.
That became our catchphrase-Ravel and get ept! I never went back to the casino again. And that's when I started raveling again. I'm still working on ept.
