Rant and Gripe and B*tch and Moan

I guess today hasn't been a good day after all.
It rained today.  What I'd always thought was just aches and pains of a former life of being active in sports and, as an adult, chasing after kids... pretty much still being a kid, myself, may just be the aches of MS.  At least, one of my pains seems to be.  Or it could all be in my head.
I'm not entirely sure what's in my head and what isn't anymore.  Looking back; and hindsight being 20/20, I have had symptoms going back at least 10 years.  From the forgetfulness that I thought was part of an anti-depressant side effect, to vertigo 2 years ago where I had to get my sister (worse driver ever with a licence) to take me to the clinic, to slipping out of bed to stand on needles and pins in my feet.  Shoot, even a severe intolerance to cold on my feet; to the point of pain, within the last year. So many triggers that I should have paid attention to.
Now, after another MRI, the doctor gives me the news that the lesions are shrinking... (my head says "Oh!  Healing!  So I'm alright!  Right?!)  No.  Shrinking. And she suggests I go to another specialist before considering another treatment.  I don't know what, yet, and I won't know until I'm able to sit with either of them... and not on the phone.
In the meantime, I am in limbo.  GAH!  I hate limbo!  Am I sick?  Am I not?  If I'm not, then what is this?  Am I in the right place?  Am I doing the right things?  Eating... I was doing HCG, I'm already eating 'maintenance' food because, well, it's how I ate anyway and I don't mind not eating beef every other day.  Vitamins?  I guess I needed to be on some anyway since I'm lactose intolerant and miss out on a lot of other vitamins anyway.  No MSG?  Cool.  I don't like using that anyway (though I may miss Doritos LOL) since the 80's when they were focused on for causing headaches.
Do I get a medical alert bracelet?  Do I need one?  Is this a normal thing to have/need?  I feel like I'm running a marathon and getting nowhere.
Le sigh.

These are the tough times and NO, this is not all in your head. What you\'re experiencing is very well. I remember wondering that sort of thing too. I\'ve heard that people with MS can be glutathione and B12 deficient. Alpha Lapoic Acid and N-Acetyl Cystein and Milk Thistle are said to help the body create the glutathione we need. Here\'s some info: http://www.evenbetterhealth.com/multiple-sclerosis.php

I\'ve heard that people with MS don\'t absorb regular B12 well. I take methylcobalamine shots twice a week lately. They seem to help with my energy and well being. My naturopath has me on Vitamin C 3 x daily and a few other things.

I don\'t have a medical bracelet. The only real concerns I have had were a reaction to a new medication at one point but I don\'t take meds anymore and seem to be better off for it.

This thing can be frustrating from time to time but if you have any questions or if I can help, give me a shout. :)
