* Peculiar thing I've noticed (does that make it an odd-servation?): iPad doesn't allow me to enter text in journal entries, but I can post everywhere else just fine. Wonder why?
* New Car - woo hoo! we picked it up today, omigosh, wow. Every now and then I feel like Rip Van Winkle waking up after a 20-year nap. This car doesn't have every available bell and whistle currently in the market, but geez, some of the new technologies in it...
...like the whole Bluetooth thing. Janie called this afternoon while we were on an inaugural road trip to Rockport, never had to take eyes off road or hands off wheel.
...or that mpg dial that tells me how fuel-efficiently I'm driving from moment to moment.
...gone are the days when you could go to the hardware store and get a 50¢ copy of your car key made. Sheesh, keys do every thing now but call ahead and tell the restaurant you've arrived!
...I'm looking forward to learning all the new ins and outs. Yes, I DO read the manuals.
* We had a lovely visit with friends we haven't seen in ages this afternoon (car was a perfect excuse to go see them, hour away). I threw the massage chair in the back of the car (fits easily) and gave them each a 10 minute session.
* Hubby picked up a HUUUUGE lingam stone (it's gotta weigh at least 40 pounds) while we were there. It makes him happy.
* Beautiful (and COLD) winter day. Bright blue sky, piles of not-yet-traffic-blackened snow. Already starting to warm after sunset, heading into the 50s I think for the weekend. Oh well.
