Rambling thoughts and test results!
So, my weekend has been fairly quiet. Friday was DH and my 5th anniversary, which also marks exactly 4.5 years of TTC. I didn't focus on that though, I just focused on enjoying a full day with DH. We spent the morning doing not much of anything, except for laundry (in our new machines, the building FINALLY listened to all the complaints and gave us brand new machines that handle twice as much as the old machines, so yay for cheaper laundry!). Then we went to dinner at a lovely Greek restaurant, I ordered a baked lasagna, but they didn't have any left so to make up for it they gave us a free desert! I probably shouldn't have had a drink, but I had a strawberry daiquiri. Then we, being the dorks/geeks we are, walked up to Toys R Us and bought an Uno Extreme game (it's basically Uno with a little card shooter that randomly shoots cards when you hit the button, so instead of a 'pick up 2' card you get a '2x' card and have to hit the button twice, sometimes it gives no cards, other times it gives up to 8 cards per shot!) and a Lego kit for DH. We spent the rest of the evening putting his Lego kit together (it's a police forensics unit attached to a semi with a motorcycle and badguy with getaway car). Then we played a bit of ping pong with the mini ping pong set I bought him as a joke. (We met in college and what sparked our dating was an incident in the Student Association room, I was leaning over the back of a couch and DH was playing ping pong with his friend, when he decided it would be a great idea to smack me in the arse with the paddle. It hurt like a mofo and I ended up chasing him around the SA until I finally managed to pin him and get him back for it. Fell in love over a smack in the arse.. what a romantic story... lol)Then on Saturday, DH had to work so I spent the day putzing around the house doing not much of anything. Yesterday he worked as well, but was home in the evening so we got our little charcoal grill out and had some lovely homemade burgers. We played Uno Extreme all evening, which was fun. I won 2 out of 3 games (goal is to get to 500 points, so each game consisted of many hands).Today, DH is at work all day, so I'm trying to figure out what to do other than calling my RE's office to find out if the blood tests showed what the home LH test strips did. Considering my breast tenderness started up on the day I got the blood test done, I'm hopeful that it'll come back with good results. There is one thing that I learned today that is pissing me off to no end, even though I don't really know the people involved. The neighbours I had when I moved into my apartment, we'll call them C&A, moved out just before Christmas and they moved into a nice big house with a friend of theirs, his girlfriend and their baby (we'll call them C&L, the baby is Ke). Well, today C&A were at the building visiting another neightbor, J&J, and I happened to see them when I went outside to walk my dog. We chatted for a bit as J&J got themselves and their daughter, B, ready to head back to C&A's new place. J&J made a comment about how they hoped C&L let B and Ke play together. That's when C&A told me that C&L don't even bother to feed Ke properly. They throw cereal on the floor for Ke to eat (not even in a bowl!) and go back to bed in the morning! Seriously?!? That fucking pisses me off! C&A know of my fertility struggles and are quite understanding despite the fact that they have 3 boys (Only one is A's, the other two are C's from a previous relationship), but they've both understood because they almost lost their youngest and know how devastating things like not having a baby when you want one or losing one can be. J&J just found out a little while ago that I'm having troubles, I ended up telling them when she mentioned that they were going to try for a second child (urg).Anyway, I looked at C&A and said "See, this is what pisses me off the most about parents like them. I can't have one of my own and they get a baby and treat it like shit!". C nodded and frowned before agreeing with me whole heartedly. But the conversation was over at that point, they knew they'd upset me and apologized before we all parted ways. C&A and I can carry on conversations after things like that, but J&J don't understand my struggles so when something like that comes up, they feel awkward so we just walked away from each other at that point. I can't believe people can do shit like that and get away with it. I hope for his sake, little Ke's parents get the proverbial smack up side the head they need.Ok... so I wrote all of that earlier and I just finally got through to my RE's office and the results are: Yes! I ovulated! Progesterone was 11.2 (or 11.9, can't really remember). So she says if I do get my period, I just do the same thing again (letrozole, same dose), but if I don't get my period by day 40, I'm to call her again.
Today is CD29, so I have 11 days til I have to call my RE's office if I don't start the next cycle... I don't want to wait that long! The LH tests showed I ovulated on CD21/22, so it's been a week as of yesterday/today. All I can think of is 'when is the earliest I could do an HCG test?'. Arg! I just want to know already! This is killing me now... now I know what everyone's talking about with the 2ww sucking!

One drink is not going to hurt things if you are pregnant, so do not worry about it. Especially since you were enjoying your anniversary. Hang in there with the 2ww, it will be over before you know it!
Thanks LMWT! I\'m trying to come up with things I can do to distract myself. This week will be the worst, because I don\'t have much to do. Next week I\'ll be watching my nephew again, so that won\'t be too hard to muddle through til the end of the week.
I\'ve been thinking about it though, trying to figure out when I should test. Sunday/Monday will be 2 weeks from the positive LH test, so should I test then, or should I wait until CD40?
But then I realize that Sunday is Mother\'s Day... could I handle it if I get a BFN on Mother\'s Day? Urg... bad timing!
If it were me, I would say test 2 weeks from surge and then if nothing then retest the 40th just in case the first test is just too early.
Thanks again, I think I\'ll do that. I\'m a ball of excited nervousness now... so crazy. lol
