Rainy days. Good books and a cup of hot coffee
So for the entire month of june, it rained every day except two days. I checked the forcast for the rest of the week and it is suppose to rain every day except thursday of next week. I wish we could send all this water to Canada to help put out all those wildfires.
At least I don't have to water my garden...:)

yes, send it our way and the south. south west They need it too.
Yes, I wish that as well.
I remember one summer we visited and it rained EVERY SINGLE DAY we were there. We still went to the beach (Old Orchard Beach), the Portland Head Lighthouse, the poet's place, and many other places.
Here's to enjoying the rain, and having a bit of sunshine!
Is it just me or does it seem hotter this year?
it is hotter earlier this year yes....
bob I love to picture....stealing it for facebook post...LOL
Hope this month brings some much-needed sunshine! In the meantime, happy reading! : )
bob you sure you did not move to Portland Oregon or Seattle? LOL
Thanks Bob, send it our way (Canada)!!!
@ Atpeacemary.......I saw somewhere that there are over 500 active fires, of which 200 are under control. They just don't have the resouces to fight so many fires despite 10 countries sending more fire fighters and water bombers to help.
@ Mid.....Yes I have been there. I attended college in Portland but I rarely checked out the sights. About the only thing I remember was a little out of the way mexican restaurant down on the waterfront that I liked very well. I remember another summer before this one in which it rained almost every day and that must have been the summer you were there.
@ TheChickenChronicles......I have a friend who lives in vero beach and he told me that the heat combined with the high humidity they get there near the water and it's very unbearable. It doesn't get that hot here but if it's higher then 75, then I turn on both my air conditioners, if there is any humidity at all.
@ billwfriend ....Make yourself at home. You are welcomed to anything I have,
@ Ladybug7...I have lots of books to read. I buy them on amazon and they sit on a shelf for sometimes years before I decide to read them.
@ Gonefornow...Stay away from the smoke up there, If I had the money, I would buy a few water bombers just for your area. Hang in there!
My lettuce patch is mouldy and I’m thinning it for air flow. Although my pond is still low so there could be more water in the ground. Frequent rains but no real amounts. Finally a good one yesterday.
@ finallyawakenow....Today was the first rain free day this month and it was a hot one! Went up t0 86. Tomorrow hotter and clear as well as the day after and then rain for the next 4 days...good! It will cool things off! :)
I love the heat. I start with a quart of water with sunrise and I see my work as the best pore cleaning spa and I get paid for it:). I’ve never owned an air conditioner or used the one in my truck. Ok, mid 90s and humidity I take a long siesta at noon in the shade. I’ve found that wide straw hats, long sleeve white cotton button down shirts and plenty of water every hour can get me through…
@ finallyawakenow....You are braver then I am. :)
