raining, 62 degrees//marina with a//35 mph gusts knocked part of the fence

its raining and 62 degrees out.  we are back to being balmy, after a week straight of cold and windy.  so windy, (35 mph gusts) i have to have part of the fence fixed and limbs came down.  i fix our fence EVERY YEAR.  its lattice.  also the gates at br's are messed up, but that happened before this storm.
i ordered the curtains that are made of canvas, our day guy gave the other guy the note.  i would prefer HALF the order to see if it works out well.  i noticed the canvas we used for the table outside, ENDURES everything.  it didn't even fade.  amazing.  its a canvas used for boats.  never occurred to me before to order boat-worthy things for the house down south, but it does make sense.  its all built to endure.
got two new pair of crocs.  one pair for work and another pair for going out.  they were having a sale for halloween.  under $50 for the two pair.  good deal.  saw the beginning of the movie jaws at k's the other night.  haven't see that movie in a longgggg time.  interesting that movies seem different as you get older and see it a different way.  same with favorite books of mine.

still reading "me" which is katherine hepburn's autobiography.  she writes as she speaks.  in her own short hand and acting out pieces of it as she goes along.  its good.  you can hear her.  its nice style.  she's very spoiled though, her father was a doctor.  she went to bryn mawr.  her brother went to harvard.  she comes from a large family of six kids.  one died as a teenager.  a lot of stability and FREEDOM.  she says the freedom was the best thing her parents gave her growing up.  i agree, if you can do that.

am taking the ketakonozole again.  200mg 2x per day.  i also have to go for more blood draw and see if my cholesterol is finally normal.  i still get brain surges but less and less of them.  he also wants me to take raspberry ketones to lose weight.  i actually want to lose it for the first time in ten years, mostly for health reasons and finally miss being skinny.  but without a nice warm indoor pool to swim in, how in the world do i lose weight?

one of the kittens needs surgery.  its one of rn's.  its a bengal mix.  so that is the next thing.  and there is something going on at the mall that i'm supposed to go to with a and j.  we will see.  we need to re-new our museam membership so there IS more to do.  i've let it get cold again without going out on one of the larger boats and i had promised myself i wouldn't do that.

headed to the marina with a.  nice surprise that she is here this weekend.

I would love to read K. Hepburn\'s book! I love her. I remember watching \"The African Queen\" a million times at least! Glad you\'re enjoying it!!!

Sorry about your fence! 35 MPH gusts can knock stuff down for sure!!!! Lattice isn\'t very study though! Sure does look nice! Your weather is changing a lot down there...back and forth. That would just put me into a nasty summer cold. It\'s cold up North. We\'re in the 20\'s already!

You got a good deal on the crocs! YOU GO! Gotta keep those feet comfy. Hope your meds work out for you!! xoxoxo

*hugs* You should join a gym with a pool. I love swimming, but the gym I go to doesn\'t have one, so I just get my cardio in walking home (a mile and a half) and work on the machines at the gym. I get free membership through Silver Sneakers (Medicare)

It had been very windy here as well. And we actually got a cold front that lasted about a day. :-) Never got to wear a sweater. We have soooo got to get one of those themostats that changes automatically from a/c to heat.

Hope you have good results from your blood work. And I hope you get your boat ride before it gets too cold again. Hey....you live in FL....how cold can it be? lol

actually north florida is just as cold as southern georgia. cocoa is a little warmer than here and if you get below palm beach, the claim is its the same as the bahamas. but the rest of florida, really is pretty cold. three seasons.

we don\'t have a thermostat like you are saying either. didn\'t even know it existed.

Yes, that thermostat does exist. I should have said that we need to get it again. We changed it out with the ranch house where the weather is more predictable.....it never worked here.

the canvas guy came by today. yay! also talked to the guy that can do all kinds of repairs. (very educated and political, wouldn\'t expect him to be doing repairs). so we\'ll see what happens. today is november 20, 2013.
