Rainbow of Peppers
The peppers have been planted! I was thrilled to remember that their seeds are much larger than the tomato seeds I planted yesterday. The new varieties I'm trying: Orange Bell, Purple Beauty, Golden California Wonder (the green/red ones overran the farm last year), and Anaheim Hot (though not killer hot). The old standby "boyfriend peppers" are both Italian sweet peppers that grow to 10" long: Golden Treasure, and Corno Di Toro Rosso (red). I planted 18 but by the time I "thin" (scoop out with a teaspoon and plant in a separate cup), I'll probably have 40 plants. I always figure I'll loose some this way, but rarely do. What's a few extra plants when the farm has plenty of room for gardens (shhhh... don't tell Guy I said "gardens"... he's not quite up to thinking about it just yet...LOL)? It's a chilly, rainy day here today and the pups are taking their mid-afternoon nappypoo. Guy is starting to feel more human and actually had toast for breakfast then homemade chicken soup for lunch. Speaking of which, jelly beans are not going to hold me until dinner so I think I'll have a little snack to hold me over.

Now I\'m hungry! I love those sweet bell peppers. I feel like I could just eat them by the sack full! And they\'re even better when they\'re stuffed! Oh boy, I\'ve got to find something to keep off the hunger until my husband gets home!

I always put it on my sanwage raw, or in a soup, or a stew. Mmmm.... they are delicious.
So Guy was sick?? Man, this flu sure is going around. I\'m over mine... almost. Lol.

Cj, i am so very happy, and thankful, that Guy is feeling much better, and that you got to enjoy doing some planting today. You are a sweet friend, and such amazing gardening adventures you are having, and lots to look forward too. :)
gardens! oh my! i love the sound of that! my mom, she told my dad, \"no more fruit trees!\" hehe ;) but him and i planted 2 more last year, we said, \"that\'s all!\" hehe ;) but, between you and i, i believe there\'s room for an almond tree too! ;) shhhh! don\'t tell my mom! ;)

Emily is going to have 3 or 4 gardens on the deck this summer. Because we have some many bunnies here I saw this really cool idea in Family Fun this Spring about growing gardens in large Terricotta pots.

I hope you have gobs of peppers and make fajitas every week. I love planting things and watching them grow. I love pruning and mulching and getting my fingers dirty. i hope I will get dx soon and feel better so that maybe I can get back to doing the things I love. right now this computer and the friends I have met on it have kept me sane.

Sounds like you have been keeping yourself busy. Glad that Guy is on the mend. Thinking about raiding your garden this year then it would save me from having to plant one!! giggles Shout at you later today cause I think we need a good ole chat!
